Addison Heddins I actually purchased the hyperx cloud 2 they are much cheaper and I think they were worth it. I haven’t had any issue with it on my PS4, you have to update the software on it to use its own type of “dac “ on console. But I’m sure on PC it works great if you are trying to spend less than 100. But I’d say go for these if you want to pay below 200 or upwards of 100. These will prob be my next purchase for headphones once my hyperx cloud 2 get to old! Hope this helps you in some way!!

I had my Arctis Pro headset since 2019 without the Dac for my ps4. the sound I believe was good. I spent the money after seeing your view about the Dac and the EQ controls I would have the sound is F$#@ awesome. Anyone with a ps4 on the fence about adding a Dac get it you won't be disappointed. Awesome view as s usual.

For the record, i own this with the Gamedac. This does 100 percent work on xbox one S. As long as the controller has a 3.5mm jack. However, you must connect the PRO headphones directly to the xbox controller and then you can speak and hear. Just do not use the DAC. Sound is clear, party chat is clear and the other people can hear me well.

In order to get the true Hi Res audio you have to change it to 96 kHz, 24 bit in your sound settings of the computer.

@@nikobrul7147 the device is not rated for 192 kHz however up until an update for windows a few months ago I could also use the option. Without the dac you only get 48 kHz and with it you are only rated for 96 kHz.

I just picked up an Arctis Pro with DAC (used/like new) on Amazon for $120! An absolute steel for more than half off the new price, and they were basically new out of the box. This my first headset ever and I absolutely love em.

Hey dude! Please respond. Have the earcups of the Arctis Pro's been getting loose? For me they are so loose where the small ball joints are and Im scared the headphones will detach/break off.

Just picked up the pro wireless and man it's a kick ass headset once you get the eq dialed in. Prefer the dac over my mixamps

It's not just about DACs cause sometimes getting a professional fax for a professional headset boosted it's performance and a 3.5. May just not be enough to power something like hyper X revolvers so they give you a little usb thingy that can use the full power of that certain headset

Just ordered the ones with the DAC :o)... was considering the TurtleBeach Elite Pro 2.. these have a nicer design and understood are the best wired headsets for pc and ps4! thanks alot!

Hi Techne.... Love the videos.. and really enjoy your honest reviews..... .... I have a question.... on the Arctic Pro + game DAC... The DAC has an Android connection ... can you plug it into your Android phone and use the Headset as normal to watch videos or to game on?

I bought this headphones about 3 months ago and LOVE them. This is the best headphones I EVER had. THE DAC is also really cool. Some say you can't get the high volume.. oh YES you can. use the dac and move all on the equalizer to the top.. it so loud you can't stand it! super loud! and I love that on the left headphone, there is the wheel... to turn the volume up or down. On KZread I have all volume maxed out......and this way if something is too loud, I just use my wheel. PERFECT. You can't go wrong with these. The lights are cool, you can change them to a few different colors.. red, green, yellow and maybe another. I have mine on green with the mic on red. The headphone quality is very good, the sounds are great. The Dac is VERY VERY VERY COOL! Get it, you won't be sorry. I will never use another headset.. this is for me!

@@hatimramadan5643 yes you can. It's about $130 for just the dac by itself or $250 for the combo....I just spent $179+ without the dac before I realized I should get the dac since I play ps4 mostly. I'll be returning it and ordering the combo outfit. $70 extra for the combo vs $130 for the dac alone....🤯😵

I currently have the Hyper X Orbit, had it for a year and it started to break. It had a high res option. Kinda sells this one to me it sounded hella nice, though the orbits did have a 100mm audio driver

I couldn't say how any of the correct headset will work, if even on the PS5. I'm sure all these companies including Sony will want to take every penny they can with the new consoles. as for the pr wireless and pro dac on ps4, your not going to notice a massive diff. the pro wireless are great on ps4, as are the dac version. the biggest downfall of the dac with ps4 is all the wires, as well as the short length of them

I have the latest Xbox ,PS5 and a PC with the LG 48" OLED TV. Connect the DAC to the LG optical out . Only need one headset that way if you don't need the mic like me

The Arctis 7 wont let you split the chat and game sound so it’s not as useful if you play competitive shooting games. Need to hear those footsteps.

Hello thanks for the detailed explanation. I am still confused whether or not my Legion 5 Pro would support Hi Res if I go with the Arctis Pro without DAC. In my laptop sound properties, there is 16 bit 48000hz (the only option available), if that info helps. I am buying my first gaming headset, any help would be appreciated.

I play games such as Rainbowsix, Apex legends,COD, im on the Ps5 right now but soon get a PC so both compatible would be nice. With a budget of around 120$ Max I’m willing to pay or alittle more, surround sound and noise cancellation would be ideal aswell as I play shooters.(LF wired mic)

I had a problem with my Astro A40 MixAmp Pro TR headset. So I am planning to buy a Arctis Pro Headset. I still can’t decide if I should get the one with the game dac or not. From watching your video I understood that there is not a difference in sound quality, and that they’re both very good headsets. Regarding my setup, I’m not a huge fan of wires all around the place, so I would much prefer if I could connect the headset straight to my controller. Is that possible with the Arctis Pro? The Techne phew, I sold my alpha on PS4, because the compatibility meant it was no where near as good on PS4, as it is on PS4. Just bought a pro (without dac) for PS4.

to get high rez on ps4 you have to use a digitel cable and some of the newer ones do not support it

Can I possibly use the Arctis Pro with a Astro Mixamp or do I need the Gamedac to get the best audio quality?

So, if I understood that right.. for PC it makes no sense getting the one with the DAC if you have a soundcard in your motherboard that supports high res (high def?) correct?

Question, pretty sure im going to end up buying this but, I listen to a lot of my music mainly on my phone, Lol so my question is 1 how are the headphones when used on a mobile device and 2 would the DAC still work when using my phone?

I bought the $170 ones and they work on Xbox and ps4 and was wondering if I should upgrade to buying the gamedac separately..QUESTION IS IT WORTH IT?? I love these headsets but the upgrade for high res I'm curious about cause I only play on consoles..Through the 3.5 jack..Is the audio difference in games truly worth the 100 or so price jump alone..??

So, I can't use chatmix and hi res (95khz 24bit) on the gamedac at the same time? So only setting the gamedac in windows on 95khz won't give automatically hi res sound on pc mode? That brings me to the conclusion that setting the normal pros in windows 10 settings on studio quality won't give me hi res either? Is the normal pro even worth it then? You say yes but given the fact that setting the gamedac on studio mode won't give me the 95khz 24 bit audio I am starting to question that you really get hi res sound on the normal pros. Is the hi res option worth it getting the game dac? I have no console and the dial would do it for me. Thank you for your great videos btw! Love them!
