The blessings God put upon the men who ultimately spread truth throughout the entire west. Your freedoms while ultimately given by a sovereign God were brought into being with the reformed tradition. You are now running on the fumes of that blessing. The sovereignty of God, Sola Scriptura and the framing of God at the center of our salvation and not our will as well as the puritans push and the scottish covenants stand. You should really stand back in awe of the great men God spoke and moved through and appreciate what He gave us through them.

I am certainly not discounting the courage of men like Luther. I celebrate him every 10/31. BUT obviously what I said is true: The reformers went too far on some things, and not far enough on others. We need to grab the baton where they left it and move toward the full, unfiltered, unadulterated gospel.

I used to watch a pastor on KZread…then he was going on and on about how he was taking his daughters to see her. I thought what in the world? I’ve seen videos of her and heard a few songs and interviews and couldn’t understand how a father let alone a pastor would be so excited to take his daughters there. Thank you for sharing truth!

but do you know how difficult it is to forbid a child to listen to something that all his peers are listening to. It's hard. I'm against Taylor, but I'm just saying it's very difficult to forbid something for your child because if you forbid something that everyone listens to and that's popular, the child will eventually express his rebellion, which leads to drugs, alcohol, etc.

We catholics do not adore Mary but venerate her as a true role model. To Jesus through Mary. We walk with Mary to meet her son our Lord. We ask for her intercession, to pray for us. We do not ask her to grant us anything. Mother is usually the most influential in a kingdom and same goes for the kingdom of heaven. The wedding at Cana is a great example. She is our Mother and Queen of heaven not a God.

If we are obedient to Jesus, we are His brothers, sisters, mother, etc.(Matthew 12:50) Mary has no special authority over any of Jesus' disciples. There is no queen of heaven unless you refer to Revelation 1:5-6 in which all women will be queens and all men kings. Before Jesus died, He simply was saying that John and Mary take care of each other as son and mother in His absence. John took Mary to his home.

I have seen videos posted from swift’s concerts that look like spell casting. It’s quite possible that is why the author of this article wrote what he did. Many people say they can’t even remember the concert afterwards (probably because of the spell casting).

You are so right! I listened to an update from Pastors Tom Hughes and Brandon Holthaus. They let us know the truth of the Israel war with Hamas. One conclusion they drew is that the Remnant is rapidly shrinking. Why? Because among "Christians" there's a lot of antisemitism. They believe it could be because of Replacement Theology. I don't understand this. How can they be antisemitic when the Jews gave us our Savior and Redeemer?😮

@@simeonyves5940 I understand your frustration and despair, Simeon. Most people in my church have never matured spiritually. They don't want to know what's coming down the pike in the near future. One friend actually admitted that she doesn't believe that we're in the last days. Every time I tell her the Rapture is coming very close, she automatically responds with calling me a "date setter". It's obvious that I'm not. My internet friends and I see the signs that Jesus talked about. We know it's close. So I listen to doctrinally sound preachers and teachers online for information that proves that time is running out. In the meantime, I feel alone and can't get personal fellowship in person. What encourages me, however, is the fact that Jesus is using people like you and me making impact whether or not we see it. I believe that we display salt and light as we practice worshiping in Spirit and in Truth. We will not compromise with the culture. And Jesus will reward us at the bema seat for all the tears we cry because we are willing to pay the price, even when we must do it alone. Recently I was reminded of what King David told his men when they were on the run, that yes, they were in need of basics, but they didn't want to take what they needed without counting the cost. David seemed to understand that real love always has a price to be paid. As I age, I'm beginning to see how much Truth and Wisdom there is in real love. It also helps to look at this life from a heavenly perspective.

Make no mistake about it. God will bring swift judgement! Depart from me, I never knew you.

Many are merely wearing a cloak of godliness but inside are raving wolves gaining ammunition to be used against the innocents and babes in Christ. That is why all who profess to follow Jesus need to study the scriptures, preferably the KJV, to know and accept the will of God for their lives in order to know what is TRUTH and what is not so that they are not deceived when deception comes their way. What might that be? To conform to His character and holy Law and allow the Holy Spirit to do the sanctifying work in their lives on a daily basis before it's too late to act on His abundant grace and mercy to save us from ultimate destruction.

Great commentary! The person who wrote the article more than likely felt those demonic spirits at that concert and was truly misguided. A true Child of God and a born again Christian knows better than to follow someone who's life does not reflect a relationship with Jesus Christ. Colin. I went to the Gospel Coalition conference in Indy in Sept. 2023 right after the G3 conference that was in Atlanta. I went to TGC conference with one purpose in mind. I was specifically listening for questionable teaching. I listened intently to what the main speakers said. I was surprised to not hear any false teaching or anything questionable. Of course, I may have missed something. This left me thinking that TGC was putting up a front at their very public and main conference that made them look like they are not sliding to appease the more woke members of TGC. I saw a very different TGC at the conference than I do in their publications.

The problem with articles like this, in particular, and the typical evangelical “appeal” to the lost, more generally, (partially) consists in the views of regeneration and saving faith they entail. As always, nice work!

So I went to the eras tour and yes I loved it. I remember watching a video about her concerts and the clear worship and idolatry and it made me so angry. Well that anger was the holy spirit convicting me. I have repented of that. I can now look back and see the almost invisible progression of being a simple listener, then fan, then swiftie who was idolizing and worshipping another human being. I used to talk about her more than Jesus! I have a friend who hasn’t quite come to this realization and I’m praying for him.

"If the world hates you, know that it hated me first." Let them hate, pray for them. They are of the world, and they hate us because we are not. They need salvation, desperately.
