Omg guys I just had the coolest experience. I was bringing groceries in to my apartment and I had this episode playing on my cell phone. There was a Mexican guy standing outside of my apartment. (He worked HVAC but turned out he had right door number but wrong building) he overhead the podcast playing and asked me in Spanish was i learning español. I told him I was as and we began having a conversation in Spanish as I walked him to the right building. He asked me why I was learning, was it for work or simplemente me gustó? I told him my reasons ( too many to list) and he told me about los buenos lugares visitar si yo irme a México. He was impressed with my Spanish and told me he couldn't speak English well. Que padre que todo inició because if your channel and I was able to hold a conversation from all the comprehensible input on Mexican Spanish I've learned listening to you guys everyday these past nine months! Sorry for the comentario bien largo but I just had to share that experience with mi pareja favorita 😊🇲🇽🇲🇽

I BEGAN LEARNING SPANISH AT 25 YEARS OLD, SO DO NOT LISTEN TO THOSE PEOPLE THAT SAY YOU CANNOT LEARN A LANGUAGE WHEN YOU'RE OLDER. MY MOTIVATION WAS A MEXICAN WOMAN. THE RIGHT MOTIVATION WILL SPEED UP YOUR LEARNING SO FAST! I AM HOMELESS, BUT I LIVED IN MEXICO FOR 5 YEARS. I LIVE IN MY CAR, BUT I JUST STARTED MAKING SHORTS FOR ANYONE WHO WANTS TO LEARN SPANISH! :)

@@omlwonyy923 Immersion is key, always be listening to movies or shows in spanish, or also podcasts like this, and try to actually understand what is being said. Flashcards work for me really well, you can choose 5 new random nouns a day in spanish and put them into a flashcard deck, and just use that flashcard deck every day, so you can memorize many nouns. Putting a picture from google next to the spanish translation is great because It adds a visual connection, which helps you learn faster.
I thought my spanish was really bad because i have such a hard time understanding when people speak to me, but with how clear and slow you guys speak in comparison i understood about 90% 🤣 i guess i need more listening practice. Love this podcast, im a new sibscriber and so happy i found you guys! Muchas gracias

i used to have spanish lessons in middle school but i haven't really been keeping up with them. now i've found this podcast and i'm amazed about how much i still know. i thought that i'd forgotten a lot more but i still get the gist of it and with each episode get to expand my knowledge of the spanish language and understand more and more words. like, it's crazy how easy and fun it feels to learn spanish now that i'm not in school anymore :D
This was GOLD. Not only was it great listening practice, but having this insider perspective on Mexican culture and those little things we do and say in social settings is super valuable. If only my Spanish was better, so I could understand this better. I'll have to listen to it again.
This is so helpful because I feel like when I learn only the proper grammar I get confused when I hear slang in conversations. This helps me listen for phrases and words that aren’t necessarily grammatically correct but they are heard in Spanish conversations. Thank y’all!
Four months ago I tried to listen to some of your podcasts and I couldn't understand much, maybe like 10% of it, aside from the fact that I thought you guys are talking SUPER fast lol. Now after these months and after listening to so many comprehension input videos and studying some grammar and all I understood like 80% of what you guys talking about and some videos are even almost 90%!! I still don't consider myself intermediate but I'm really really proud of myself. And muchas muchas gracias for your effort to help us ❤

Hola!

I am new to this channel, are you guys speaking the dialect of Spanish that would be spoken in most parts of Mexico? That is the Spanish I am trying to learn. Thanks. BTW, I am surprised at how much of this video I understood! I had to make it play a bit slower, but your pronunciation was very clear for a beginner learner like me. You gained a subscriber! One thing to add as a personal not: I HATE THAT I CAN UNDERSTAND ALMOST EVERYTHING BUT IF I WAS TO TRY AND SAY WHAT YOU GUYS ARE SAYING, I WOULD JUST STAND THERE DUMBSTRUCK 🤣 Like when someone talks to me in Spanish I usually understand what they are saying, but when I try to respond, I have the english/russian (sometimes I translate in either language lol, idk why. I speak both fluently) response in my head, but when I actually speak out loud, I either sound like a five year old who doesn't know proper grammar, or I say half of it in English and the other half in Spanish, with the aid of hand motions as if it was cherades lol.
¡Hola! Ya regresé a EE.UU. después del verano en Querétaro 🧡🌵🧡 Tomé clases al la UAQ🤩 Otro apodo es "joven" a los meseros 😁

Muchas gracias Theo! Tenemos tu mail, estamos pensando :)
Thank you for your videos. It is helping enormously with my pronounciation and most of all comprehension. In all fairness though, I think a realistic approach to describing Mexico would go farther to an accurate description. It could go on forever and I am not here to bash Mexcio, I have residency but I admit, it has been quite a shock living in Mexcio. EVeryone wants to rave about the food. I know I have enjoyed Mexcian food when I have to go wash my hands and change my shirt as it usually drains down my arm. Bars and locks on everything. The poverty is incredible. You have garbage pickers, stray dogs tearing open the garbage for food, no visible infrastructure, even contractors have no liquidity. You have to pay so they can go get the materials and everyone wants to get paid at the end of the day. Everyday. Impregnating young girls who can not afford to feed themselves The macho attitude is very strong, I wonder why. What are you so proud of? Look at the young music videos. Ignorant shallow punks covered in tatoos. . Yes there are some sweet things but from my perspective, Mexcio is the definition of a failed culture.
Also in the US we will say it's my fault or it's my bad. Never in Mexico its always culpa de someone or something else. I noticed even the spanish language using the Se (por ejemplo- se me olvido) it's like everything is an accident, but never the fault of the actual person. It's a cultural shock I noticed. In the USA its ok to be wrong, be at fault, take blame, take responsibility but in Mexico nobody wants to take the blame or responsibility for anything ever. Just something I noticed very different.

@HowtoSpanishOfficial
Жыл бұрын
