Kiffin was a big part of the recruitment. Kiffin was the only Alabama coach to fly down to Hawaii and see Tua. It was a big deal for Saint Louis high school when he visited. Which is why there was a big concern about Tua's commitment after Kiffin left. Luckily they liked the community and decided to stay.

Actually it was Jerry Glanville who scouts QB's for his website. Saban and Glanville used to coach together. It all ties into a relationship with June Jones. Glanville called Saban up one night and said you gotta get this kid. Then Tosh Lupio took over from there and here we are. Lane didn't hurt but he wasn't the reason Tua and his family chose Alabama.

Yeah that whole Alabama could beat the worst NFL team -- is a bunch of crap. EVERY player on ANY NFL team .. espescially their primary roster -- is generally a 5 star recruit who ALSO panned out in college who then went on to be drafted early. Alabama has A LOT of talent -- ie: 12 guys went to the NFL off last years squad,.. but it's not all 85+ guys. ;) An NFL team would annihilate Alabama. [And I'm a Bama fan]

Yup, Tua seems to take coaching and fixing his "faults" pretty easily and quickly. One is being "loose" with the ball. He hasn't been leaving the ball out to potentially get stripped like he did against Louisville, lol. By the time we play LSU and Auburn, Tua should have an even better feel for the game; scary, tbh.

Jim McEwen I totally agree, some of the offense’s play calling were questionable calling back to back screen passes behind the line of scrimmage on top of back to back run plays when they had 46 rushing yards in the third quarter. I know it’s important to have balance but when they are giving you the vertical passes and taking away the run and horizontal screen passes, take what they give you. Especially in regards that the game could’ve been a lot closer if it had not been for the two field goals Texas a & m had to take in the red zone.

I like what Nick did here, he was being serious, but he has started being more laid back with the press. I think Bama struggled alot today, well more than usual, but Alabama always has these type of games , and it always leads to something better. Tua hasn't had a snap in the 4th qt, Alabama has played alot of players so far, and I have no doubt Bama just played one of the top 10 teams in the country, and Bama will be tested more down the road. If Alabama had the rushing yds today like they had today the game is coming down to the wire. But what do we have now? A passer, a very accurate, consistent passer, he's rested and he has a team around him. Roll Tide, hopefully they learn, and get better, cause yes! ,I am a BAMA FAN, and yes! I wanna see Alabama beat the hell outta the opposing teams, i want 80-0 If possible, and I want this Alabama team to be the MOST dominant team in the history of the school, and this sport. Then I want next yrs team to be better, but I know that you have to improve, and what Tua does as a QB is make everyone better. But shout out to Mond today, dude made some great plays today, and hats off to A&Ms rushing defense.

Bama is an elite team when you look around the league, especially yesterday, at some of the other top 25 teams. But his points are well taken, as good as they are, the time of possession & number of offensive plays were well short of what you want, the running game was not as effective as it should be, and A&M's QB ran at will, much of the first half. They still have some work to do.

What Saban was asking for at the end was for the press to help his coaching process to his team by critically analyzing their execution separate from the game's outcome.

From an Aggie: It sucks we are 2-2, but then again we played bama and clemson within the first 4 weeks. Bama seems like they are a different level, based on the two games bama is a lot better than clemson. Against clemson it felt like we had a legit shot of winning. Bama always has a great D, but now they have an unstoppable O. A&M is on the come up, looking forward to seeing how we play the rest of the SEC. Also looking forward to A&M bama being a good one in a year or 2

This is a classic view of what makes Coach Saban the best in the business. Week four is not the time to be giving individual accolades. I knew when they scored and didn't "finish" he was going to go into the locker room and his post game presser pissed off. I'm sure the players and his staff thought they lost that game by Coaches reaction in the locker room. I also know Coach doesn't like it that they were not able to run the ball effectively. I have loved the TIDE all of my life and if this team wants to grab the schools 18th ring, they need to get one hell of a lot better. The most important thing to takeaway from his comments was TOP and the number of offensive plays. He hates being on the both side of each. RTR..

He means finish with domination -- without RISKING the ball being THROWN in the air. This means being able to run on schedule, and stack up first downs with the run game. Alabama has the best and deepest group of RB's in the country -- The offensive line is to blame for the run game being less than stellar and I expect a focus to be placed on this going forward so Bama can run the ball at will while doing what we know we can do.. Pass.

OK, tell me if I'm wrong for feeling this way but, coaches always tell their players to play for 60 minutes, it's a 60 minute game. If that's true, why do coaches "call off the dogs" after a certain time of the game? Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that they should leave their starters in, in a blowout. What I'm saying is, why just start running the ball on every play? Jimbo called a timeout with like 5 seconds left in the game to try to score. If I was a coach, I would continue to try to score as long as the other coach continued to try to score. The announcers said Jimbo was trying to get his team work for the rest of the season, why shouldn't I do the exact same thing. I'd put my back ups in and I'd continue to throw the ball as long as the other team did. I think Jimmy Johnson said it best when he said "I can't help how the other team played, I can only worry about how my team plays". I'd want to get my back ups all the experience I could executing the playbook in a game situation, just in case I need them to play at some point, regardless of what the score is. I wouldn't be upset if a coach did that to me. To me, that's just coaching. Am I wrong for feeling that way?
