    Deeply appreciate the shout out, and can only respond that great stuff just absolutely requires a decent response. In watching your reviews/demos of the various modelers, I looked for what could be called a "vibe" you gave off, and I really noted that on the Ampero. To maybe state the obvious, it's not just tech and tone. Thanks for answering the question as well as so much else.

I got it for the same price as a used Synergy Module. I can get the PRS MT15 for cheaper than a Synergy module and I am starting to wonder if it is worth it. A friend of mine bought a Heritage LP, on line, just before the changes in 2018. I'd compare it in quality to my '69 LP. Besides the sound; the build/feel is excellent. They really did it right. I haven't played any of their guitars since that change...and they're still in business, which is a good sign. There's been a lot of flak from the Heritage faithful, since they were sold, though. As you said: I think I'd want to try one out or buy with a return option, with that one, at this point.

    Your videos need more cat in them, always look forward to seeing one. I was huge into Lego in my childhood in the mid to late 80's into early 90's much like you. I remember getting a few sets, one was the castle, and definetly some of the space themed and the pirate ship stuff. I think i was too ADHD to actually ever finish a set, and eventually I would just build my own creations, and all the different set pieces got mixed up into big suitcases. My mom would also find lots of random Lego stuff at garage/rummage sales for really cheap. I think they are still in possession but all the set pieces are mixed up together so it maybe impossible to actually build one to Lego spec. I should look into trying to sell the lot as a whole, but shipping costs would probably be insane. Late Zep for the win (Physical Graffiti, Presence, Houses of Holy). I have a early/mid 90's stock Gibson LP Standard ebony with the cream binding, never selling it.

  • @LucifdeLuther

    @LucifdeLuther

    It also converts unbalanced signal to balanced mic level signal. But there is some tradeoffs. Active DI boxes usually powered by phantom power, but supply current in that case is low, so usually OPAMPs with best performance could not be used. Passive DI boxes not so good for passive pickups.

    Aha well I was around when each of Deep Purple and Led Zeppelin albums came out, the music in 70 through 76 was unbelievable and where everyone bought albums in volume. emerson lake and palmer, LZ, Deep Purple, Jethro Tull, Santana, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton going thru new band, Fleetwood Mac, Moody Blues, Pink Floyd, Genesis, Yes, etc. So picking out albums as you were doing was like what you were buying was getting better and better and we looked forward. You are looking backwards when all the vinyl to cassettes to CDs, to DVDs, to MP3, Aif etc. My feeling is many tracks have memories and you dont have memories that go with the songs, you are just judging them. For me LZ1 was playing on my Leak stereo system in a flat over a laundrette up loud was unbelievable when it first arrived. We covered all of it in our band with Carlsboro 100 and 2 x 4 12 cabs no pedals around Carlsboro 100 bass 2 x 18 stacks, Gibson SG Custom and Gibson EB0 bass and the drummer with Premier, the impact of LZ1 part acoustic part rock part blues. It fitted that year!

    @@vaughanmacegan4012 I haven't noticed any type of latency at all. I'm really impressed how well the Stage works while playing guitar and singing with the mic.. I'm using it in a desktop setup with an iMac and going XLR into 2 KRK Monitor speakers. Sounds amazing. As far Latency goes... the only comparison I can make is with something like BIAS FX2 where I need to reduce the Buffer size to 128 samples to avoid any latency. So far with the Stage I haven;t noticed anything at all latency wise. If I find out anything the more I use it I'll check back in. So far I'm just really impressed with the Stage. I've tried a lot of Effects processors now from the low end to the hight end stuff... and Hotone seems to have really cracked the code on nailing a lot of stuff the others haven't when it comes to being a "Copy Cat" of amps and effects etc... This Stage might be the best Effects Processor/Modeler under $2K. Definitely competes with the big boys in a lot of areas for a lot less price wise

    @@UTAH100 I agree that the KZreadr's signal chain is extremely important when demoing products, and should always be disclosed, and displayed on screen. In fact, I recently saw a video where that was done, and the difference between the Guitar Cab and Computer Speakers (Monitors?) was dramatic and concerning.

    @@picksalot1 100% agree. Leon's tone is consistently amazing- regardless of what he plays. Here is a good example of how most of us will hear the Ampero II and it's not great. kzread.info/dash/bejne/qJlsuJWqhaXUfMo.htmlsi=EF9Uej3Z5oYvCyIB&t=66 I will say that Fractal FM3 or FM9 did sound relatively much better. I use cheap, but perfectly decent studio monitors. I can add an amp or two if needed via my pedalboard.

    @@UTAH100i think they just run an equalizer which you have for free in your daw. Its totally normal to eq the guitar with high and low pass and cut some nasty frequencies out. The difference is like day and night. The link you posted: this is recorded from "outside" (camera or phone), so its not the sound straight out of the device, what you normally do. It has to run through a daw and you record from there..

It was a little sad.. cause most people were just leaving after the PRIEST. My trip to what I call guitar heaven is completed. I know this is only what I sampled, but this is at one of the best, most revered stores (30 years) in the country great players visit - so their quality is gonna be above smaller stores imo. My Review/Report - I played no less than 6 '59 Custom Shop Reissues($6700/ea). I report that even Gibson Custom Shop QC is in need of quite a bit of improvement from my pov. Missing screw on pup selector cover holding the Custom Shop cover on. High E tuner that I could turn a full turn and it did nothing to pitch. Not one really good setup from supposedly Plek'd guitars. Frets not properly dressed. Every ABR-1 put off ugly buzzes and unnatural (to me) high harmonics. Nothing I'd pay new Standard money for ($3K). I played the Heritage H150 Custom Core I had an eye on and it SMOKED the '59s in every category for a professional level instrument save for pickup tone imho. I loved every aspect save for the pickups. Great intonation, great setup (I lowered the 'high side a small amount for my feel) great frets and very good tuning stability. It was gonna live at Camp Shep until - I played the PRS Tremonti (no trem). I'm gonna use a number I feel is ballpark of how much better it is compared to the H150 Custom Core - 15%. 40% better than the 59's. In every category. Their one piece bridge system gives off no undesireable effects the Gibson ABR-1s did. Even the Heritage displayed a little of it. Their locking tuner system and the tuning stability of it and the pegs is incredible. The setup required a small truss treak to get 'my feel'. Does not buzz. BEST frets from factory. Sound - I went looking for a guitar to do great PAF tone to get my in the Pat Travers ballpark with my Axe Fx iii (I took it and played through my really nice salesmans' Mission Gemini 2). I found the Tremonti pickup to just be very loud, not distorted just unbelievably loud. I lowered it to the point that it came losse from the screw. But it sounded great there! Having had this next step done before, I had their great tech cut the ring down to the same height as the neck ring. He did, put new strings on it, and it was perfect for me. The balance in the middle with neck on 5 and bridge on 10 - right where I like it. This PRS Tremonti 10 Top is a bucket list level guitar for me. I can't wait to fire it up loud today. LT, I'm sure I speak for the masses saying thank you for being here because your heart to help. You sir, are the guitarists with questions 'swiss army knife'. We're all doing better with our music path with your shared wealth of experience. Here's a peek at the new member of my household - filedn.com/lBWz9Sa82UTJ11C5mKLOtdh/Close%20On%20Stand.jpg

    My understanding is Heritage dont look as good (THEY SOUND AND PLAY ON A HOLE DIFFERENT, BETTER, LEVEL), they pick their woods for musicality not looks...but the headstock is GENUINE LP..they are the only ones allowed to do it!!! (they got the rights when they split from Gibson..YES SPLIT>>they were the ORIGINAL LUTHIERS in the ORIGINAL FACTORY of the Gibson Les Paul...so Gibson went to Nashville to save labor costs and gave the rights to manufacture the original LP to the luthiers they fired over the move!~!!!!! ALWAYS BUY HERITAGE

    @@MrSpike7590 I certainly can't afford a original from the late 50's. I will try multiple reissues along with Heritage PRS single cuts. It could be viewed that all the Reissues they're churning are mimicking themselves. And yeah, vintage turds are still turds! That made me laugh that 'knowing' laugh.
