What NASA’s Rovers Have Found on Mars

Ғылым және технология

NASA’s Curiosity Rover has discovered signs of water, climbed mountains, and is continuing to chug along on its journey to discover all it can about the Red Planet. This bold expedition began more than a decade ago, and over the years the robot has captured the imagination, and hearts, of the world. Motherboard's Space Show explores our Curiosity with Abigail Fraeman of NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory.

What do you mean, "the real humanity"? I get it's a big achievement but could be better achievements on our planet it's self don't you think. Like, using all those billions in space travel on humanitarian issues. Or used for education and whatnot. You know ?

We could conquer the space together as one united mankind working together with a lot of resources we could spent to explore without competition as one world. But NO we need weapons and wars to kill us rather than succeed and bloom.

  • @Larslegos

The only way that will happen is if everyone has what they need so they don't have to work just to exist. An actual equal opportunity for everyone to thrive and do what their heart tells them would allow people to collaborate rather than compete for those basic needs. Instead of allowing people to hoard wealth for themselves, we pour that abundance into everyone on Earth. A rising tide raises all ships

@@Larslegos The issue with your theory is humans are not equal by nature. Difference in work ethic, motivation, skills, intelligence. Contribution should be rewarded, there is nothing wrong with competition.

We are far far away from even exploring the closest neighbors in our own solar system much less venture beyond our own system into the outer reaches of space. Forget even going to the next solar system with planets like alpha centauri... we are not likely to see that for quite a few generations if we ever master interspace level propulsion.

@@freedomrings.0007 You have no imagination? The CGI and whatnot is just for visual aid, to have something to look at. It's just an imitation of what it might look like. It's not supposed to represent reality with 100% accuracy. It's not claiming to be real. What's real is the samples, data, and photos taken by the rovers themselves. That is the focus

  • @ExpiredCartonOfEggNogg

Many of the photos from far away are done via CGI. However many of the "selfie" shots that the rover performs are actually 5 - 6 separate images stitched together. How is this done? The arm is articulated enough so it can move into one spot to take an image, and then move again to take another, simple layering makes it so the shot is done without an arm. This is important and a deliberate design to make sure that nothing is blocked, these selfish shots are used by engineers to asses any damage the rover may have received or to asses the general health of the vehicle.

Tore, or is their "mars" actually located on this plane but outside of this particular realm? I definitely don't know the truth, but it's more feasible than their made up fantasy distance of 165+ million miles away in their made up space. Nobody on here knows, but they all enjoy regurgitating the lies!!!
