I thought for a long time i could become an expert at gambling but what i learned was that it doesnt go the way its meant to most of the time its rigged and games are fixed same with horses/dogs Sports and everything else then it gets out of control when you start to chase your loses I got out of debt and now I am much better I find that gambling is good for fun that’s about it you take what you can afford and don’t expect to win just go there to enjoy yourself.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I don't have a gambling addiction. I have a very small limit and sure, I play for cheap thrills on small-dollar bets, lottery and 1-hr of poker.

I still go to Vegas often, but the desire to play is a not really there and will only do it with a small limited budget as well to call it entertainment money. I also have strict rules that if I lose my budget or double my it, I'm done. Thanks for watching and commenting!

Thanks for sharing. I have always stayed away because of the rush I feel in black jack. I know I could take it too far. It's a pity because I love the wild west vibe of poker and black jack.

It’s definitely a ton of fun, but the rush is definitely addictive and dangerous. Thanks for watching and taking the time To comment. Much appreciated.

What's your opinion on sports betting vs Casino games vs Forex trading vs Stock trading vs Cards?

Options/Day Trading is arguably 100% gambling as well. Surprised there isn't more regulation in that space.

Totally agree. Seems like anyone can get in with a simple agreement form and very little training screens to read. I started learning about options trading when I considered getting a Series 7 license and some of the others to sell securities, but decided against it when I realized I could lose people money and would feel guilty about it. Glad I didn't do it, it would be my gambling addiction all over again...

Isn’t working your entire life away for some mythical retirement, gambling as well? How about we teach people to stop gambling their irreplaceable TIME away?

There is soooo much regulation to try to protect gamblers within the general casino space and sports gambling but none in the Stock/Options market, that was my point.

Been a "gambler" more so poker player though for the past ten years now. Tonight I lost $3,600. This has been the normal for me for many years now. For ten years I've played poker typically mid stakes 1k buyins etc. I've probably bought in for over a million over the past ten years. I "thought" i was really good. Read all the books, studied all the strategies etc. After ten years I've had enough. I've gotten no where in life with it except just ruin after ruin after ruin. I told myself if I lose 25k this year at the 5/5 I'd be done with it. Here i am down 22k and I just wanna ban myself at this point.....

I'm praying for you to be able to break free once and for all! I know it's tough. There's no shame in looking into getting help. Ten years is a long time for the habit to hold you, breaking free is not typically an easy process without some kind of huge leverage to motivate you to stop.

If you think you might end up down the path where you could be addicted, I recommend looking into getting some help from a reputable organization. I wish you the best as you are catching it early. It can definitely get harder to escape the longer you participate in gambling activities and strengthens the habit.

You may need to check your understanding of gambling and taking calculated risk. Then, only jump into conclusions of gambling addiction.

It's definitely one of the hardest games to play. Some of the lotto games have 17million to 1 odds which could take a lifetime of play and never win.
