What My Church Means to Me: The Black Abbey, Kilkenny
Churches are precious buildings. They're full of memories, they give a home to vibrant communities, they welcome strangers, and they witness visibly to the hope that comes from knowing Jesus. Here's what the Black Abbey, in Kilkenny, means to the people who worship there.

This is where I attend daily Mass, it is the most blessed place, with daily Rosary and Adoration. When I sit in this Abbey I feel my ancestors are all around in. It is truly filled with the Holy Spirit. Many a chat I've had with Our Lord here. It is my special place. God bless 🙏
Many times I attended Mass in the Black Abbey. Such a beautiful place and it is true It is easier to pray there. And St Martin De Porres is very dear to me. Thank God for the perseverance of the people of Kilkenny during the difficult times.
