What MLB Players Really Think Of Shohei Ohtani?
Shohei Ohtani is a Japanese professional baseball player currently playing for the Los Angeles Angels. Ohtani is an AL MVP, and the first man to be selected to the All-Star game twice as a pitcher and hitter. Shohei has left his fellow MLB players marveling at his consistency and ability to deal with the pressure. Some of his peers are in awe over his home run hitting, nasty pitches, two-way brilliance, and prowess on the base pads. Ohtani has earned the admiration of former MLB players, and his play is a motivation for current and future players.

Maybe you were one of those fans? I've saw plenty of Yankee fans online, spoiled brats that think they deserve a world series. Maybe that's not you but I've saw plenty of them. I'd be ashamed to be a fan of that team...... The Mariners suck but at least we as fans don't try to hurt players from other teams. Yuck the fankees, I actually dislike them more than the Cheaters. "Best athlete" only an American would say this 😂😂😂. There are more sports than Baseball, Basketball, American Football and Hockey. All rounders aren't unheard of in cricket for example, plenty of MMA fighters who are as good on the ground grappling as they are on their feet striking, there are athletes that have transitioned between professional sports with ease and have continued competing at elite level, and let's not forget about triathlon, pentathlon and decathlon athletes.

When Ohtani left Japn to come to MLB, there were many naysayers in HIS home country, who were legends of the game. Some who had seen him throughout his career said he should concentrate on pitching, and he might equal Nomo. Others criticized his batting style. Very few foresaw what he is doing today. Most said Ohtani should pick one or the other, not both. I say to all those naysayers, take a hike on a short pier. Ohtani was an excellent outfielder in highschool years as well as in Japan's professional league. He is electric, fast responsive, and has strong arm to throw all the way from outfield back home like Ichiro (check KZread videos for Shohei's highschool and Nippon Ham/Fighters' outfielder clips) . During pitching, Shohei's defensive plays and quick responses show that Shohei can transfer immediately to be the best baseman once he leaves the mound. HOWEVER, once Shohei got injured at outfield and that stopped him from pitching for a number of games. The Japan Fighters' coaches shut Shohei down from outfielder's work since then (because Shohei was seemed as one of the biggest Japanese treasures in human form and any injuries or failures in training occurred during playing in Fighters would be accused seriously by the Japanese public and the coaches had huge responsibilities in keeping Shohei in good health, though Shohei still got some major injuries at the end).

He's been a powerful energizing force for the MLB game in the US and overseas as fans tune in to see what this amazing athlete can do. My only criticism of this video is that too often the narration is describing something that is not in the video clip at that time. (And, smaller point, the narrator refers to pitches including a sinker. But Shohei didn't start featuring a sinker until late August or early Sept. I think the narrator meant to say splitter, not sinker.) Still, thanks for offering this collection of Ohtani accomplishments and accolades.

If you add up all his abilities - hitting, pitching, base-running, base-stealing, fielding his position - I think he has to be considered the greatest player ever. I remember first hearing about him when he broke the japanese record for the fastest pitch then a few weeks later I see him doing HR and I had to check again because I thought I misread the news or something because there’s no way a pitcher is a also a DH… Ever since I tried to follow him.

Shohei Ohtani is the GOAT but doesn't get enough credit because he's on a west coast losing team. IF he was on the Yankees or Red Socks where most of media is located he would be raised to the same level of Tom Brady.

Shohei Ohtani has been committed to being the best baseball player that he can be, since childhood. Players like Shohei come around so in frequently, it is a pleasure to watch and admire his amazing Abilities on the field. Shohei is courteous, has a sense of humor and shows respect and receives it from everyone he comes in contact with. His parents raised him to be a Gentleman, and it shows!

We're in a great era for baseball. Between Ohtani and Jacob DeGrom, it's unreal what is happening. DeGrom can't run the bases as well, or hit the long ball as well, but he is a better pitcher, and a great batter as well. The 2 of them are just incredible to watch.

This dude is a modern day version of Babe Ruth not only is he a great picture but he is an outstanding hitter very rare especially since I'm bringing up Babe Ruth's name cuz he's the last pitcher to do what Otani is doing! And Babe Ruth still holds the record for the best winning percentage for pictures who have over 100 wins! That is still a major league baseball record to this day! That's insane!
