    Dearest Rabbi, thank you! You gave me a new perspective on how my husband may view, or feel differently than I do about certain things. You also gave me pause to think if I am unwittingly belittling him by doing things myself, even when he has already offered, or said he would do them. I have a kind hearted husband who has always treated me better than he does himself. Learning from you sermon, I will in the future be more cautious of my words and actions when it comes to tasks around the house. May Hashem bless you and yours. Shalom

There are also rare cases of men born with XXY chromosomes (Klinefelter Syndrome). There are no cases of YYX , YY, ..ect. Thank you

    That is very strange judgemental thinking, that cause people get in to imaginary trap of own judgemental thoughts. We all are human beings in reality that we all can observe and all we need to pay attention to is our well being = serve human needs = serve life = serve God = acts of kindness . In order to make life more wonderful then it is, we need to observe what life is ? Flowers needs water, that what is life in plants at the moment and to serve life is to watering plants . Humans have their needs too, beyond animal needs. We also have our social needs as social species so in order to coexist in harmony there is a need for frequent exchange of vital information. Not suggested imagination of judgments that drives us behave harmful ways for imaginary reasons . We are real our life is real awake observable and not imaginary . We can tel sincerely what we need at the moment and simple sincerity give awareness necessary to behave in harmony with what life is.

    I used to fear nothing for the same exact reason, my Ego feared for my body's physical survival (and thus my chances of reproductive success). However, it has now become very apparent to me that nothing is Heaven. God whispers kind words of Love and peace, and blesses all Souls who make the worthy sacrifice of emptiness, such that one maintains a state of thermal equilibrium (not too hot, not too cold). As such, I understand that this fear is currently necessary for my body's physical survival, but my reproductive success is NOT necessary to anything other than the suffering of a poor defenseless being, and I have no right to decide to manifest a child, as such is giving the power away from God (since I am making that choice from a state of consious Will, rather than an animal which instead acts on its base desires).

    Rabbi Friedman , with all due respect, you missed the mark on this one. Women and girls who are repeatedly and consistently told they are nothing, throughout their lives, are indeed devastated. We too feel zero and not that 1-10 scale of something. We too are haunted by it. Been there, done that, still have not overcome that verbal abuse by my parents. It caused me to seek out men who treated me like nothing. We are made from half of that man who has that same fear.

  • @aizikfriedman

    @aizikfriedman

    First off, let me stress that I am not mitigating what you have gone through at all. But what you said is actually on par with the Rabbi's point. Part of the reason that it is mostly abused women who chase horrible men, more than abused men chasing horrible women, is specifically because a woman can't be a nothing. You are self-important enough that you feel the fact that you're needed for something, anything, even abuse. Men, will usually just wallow in self-deprication and self-destructive behaviors, thinking that the abuse they received proves their worthlessness. Hope this makes sense, and again I don't mean to put down what you went through, in any way.

  • @ysiegel

    @ysiegel

    4 жыл бұрын

    @@aizikfriedman In other words, anyone would be devastated from verbal abuse as a child. Only a woman would experience it as devastation resulting from being made to feel the opposite of her true nature (i.e. she is made to feel like nothing even though she is SOMETHING which is why it is so devastating), while a man would take it to a different direction, where he would be depressed over his situation which he is forced to face with his inner truth. Did I get that right?

  • @aizikfriedman

    @aizikfriedman

    4 жыл бұрын

    @@ysiegel Sounds right to me. Only thing I would say, is that being nothing isn't actually a man's true nature. But it is what we, in the back of our minds, worry we really are. Reason being that we came from dust, so that lowliness is stuck in our psyche. Other that that, what you said is exactly how I understood Rabbi Friedman's point.

    While I find some truth in this, I think that the precepts are generalizations about gender. There are women that are not nurtures or content with what they have. And some feel like nothing. There are men that do not care about accomplishing and are more nurturing types. so, while this is generally true what you say, there are many exceptions to this rule.

Just became a dependent vegetable that was there for the man to fuck a lot lol... The man never seemed to give me courage... I think women have no problem being alone ..it's mean that are terrified of the woman leaving them, and if a woman doesn't know this then she will think he's abusive and controlling ...but hes really terrified of losing the half of him that makes his life complete....it's not natural for man to want to empower women to be able to live without them...it's totally unnatural... Men and women will always NEED EACHOTHER.... stop saying u don't need a man, girls..... And realize that yes, u do in fact NEED A MAN.. that's the truth whether we like it or not

    @@danpeterozki6371 I think what he said was pretty clear-that men can be made to feel like they are nothing, but women cannot. I think this is a male perspective, sorry. It more likely comes from the subconscious envy most men have of women being able to give birth-it is most likely at the root of all hatred and control of women, in general. I am not educated enough to know if this idea was documented before. But intuitively, that is what I think is the truth. In other words, men assume that because they see women as a "prize"(for sexual gratification, and having children with), that women cannot ever feel worthless themselves.

    @@danpeterozki6371 P.S. Am not trying to argue for the sake of arguing, just defending my view, as a woman, I have felt worthless for many years of my life. And also, as a woman, I have spiritual needs and dreams which have nothing to do with my hormones. I have dreamt of being a scientist exploring the Amazon jungle as a child. Or being a video game designer, or a business owner. Basically where I am getting at is that many men seem to think women should be perfectly happy just because they are women and can breed and take care of kids, but that is a false assumption-women need to overcome challenges,learn, grown, and prove themselves too.
