What makes Pizza Italy's street food star
Ойын-сауық
Italians love pizza. And they're not alone in that: pizza is probably one of the most popular dishes in the world. So what makes this flatbread topped with tomato sauce and cheese so special? We went to Naples, Italy, the birthplace of pizza, to find out. And who could know better than the Neapolitans themselves and the queen of pizza: the Pizza Margherita.

@@h0pesfall I agree. The dough is wrong for BBQ sauce.
Go to Naples, get world class pizza for 4 euro from family business going back decades or a century. Go to Lithuania, get garbage class imitation pizza made by some underpaid employee of investor named Jevgenia or Donatas for 10 euro. We are not the same.
I haven't been to Naples yet, but I've been to other cities in Italy and I have to say, it's the best food I've had in my life. My favorite thing about Italy is the food. Steer clear of tourists restaurants and try to find where the locals eat and drink.
what makes it so delicious is the mozzarella, no one beats that cheese.
Delicious. Thanks for sharing

Pizza, then gelato after, 🤤
Pizza Napolitano should be more nutritious than most other street food
Im the girl shouting Attenzione Pickpocket while y'all watching!!!🍕👌😂😝
I’m from New Jersey and was raised on pizza! My neighborhood pizzeria was owned by a family straight from Italy, but I don’t know which part, sadly. However, their food nourished me for YEARS!!!❤️🤍💚
Crazy that Naples and Peru were once part of the same beautiful empire, the Spanish empire! Thanks to this, Naples got tomatoes and many other products from South America!! Which now make pizza possible. Arriba el Imperio Espanol!! 🇪🇸 ❤️

Actually the first pizza was done for queen Margherita and the kingdom of 2 Sicilies wasn't part of Spanish empire since centuries

@@locusta4662 Naples and Sicily were part of the Spanish empire. I never said that pizza was invented during the Spanish empire days. I simply said that Peru and Naples were part of the same country, the Spanish empire and that meant trade between both areas, tomatoes, potatoes from Peru to Naples and other products from Naples to Peru existed. Key products that made the creation of pizza with tomato sauce possible.

Did anyone check on the guy who stepped on the pizza? The way others were throwing venomous glances at him, he might be at the bottom of the Tiber now.

When my son was a teenager, I told him that if he learned how to manage a pizzeria, he would never hurt for a job. Of course, he didn't listen to me. He didn't have to. (:
Thanks DW. I'm just gonna order Pizza :')

Margherita is what I make at home. Sometines, I turn it into a mushroom pizza, but nothing else.
Napoli pizzas start at 6.2

If they did pizza without tomato I could eat it but tomato is poison to me unfortunately
Did you put pineapple on my pizza? Did you put pineapple on there? "Yes". Well, good. I like it.

ITALIAN PIZZA IS DIFFERENT FROM AMERICAN PIZZA.

There isn't one kind of Italian pizza and there isn't one kind of American pizza. Napolitan pizza is also made here in the US and I have seen NY style in Milan. Relax.

I have to agree as well and I'm a big DW fan. I tried to skip through the parts where the pizza was "talking": "you can top me with anything you like" " I was born" "my family, my aunt is pizza fritta 😀 Just no.. Sorry 🙃
