I have spent 33 years in direct sales knocking on over 700,000 doors across this country. Over my years I always gave my sales people when they were new this "Great" book. Today my MISSION in Life is Suicide Awareness. My MISSION is bigger than myself. Readers are leaders! Yes I got rid of the Rolex. The Hartmann and the $3,000 suits. I love selling people that are down on themselves that they can see a better day.

@BrooksGroup This was great, I been tryin to find out about "train sales staff" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Ever heard of - Royucass Rebuttal Reverser - (search on google ) ? Ive heard some incredible things about it and my neighbour got great results with it.
Bill Brooks is one of the smartest sales educators in the world. I have attended several of his live seminars. He knows the business. I have made some of my biggest sales with techniques I learn from him.
very good I like that never say anything that's not going to bring value to the situation, true indeed .

This was lifechanging
Hello Bill, Great video I've listen to it a few times over, I did have some questions. when you talk about your sales Process you mention 33 things that you do before and during the sale. When I try a look up certain terms I can't find any information online about them, Is there are resources that would delve into each one of those terms from the 23 point pre-call check list all the way down to taking them to the advocate level?
This guy knows what he's talking about.

Some great points, and some simply dumb ones. Cold calling is term covering a wide range of activities. I do a fairly high amount of "cold calling", which I consider relationship building. This is with people in neighboring industries who's personal business and referrals I hope to earn. It's been successful for me, and for them. If you read one thing I've ever written, let it be this: Sales is not a game of chess, but rather a time to make a trusted ally whom you can truly be of service to. This is what my career is based upon, and it improves every month.
amazing presentation.
Are there any more of bill's speeches available from brooksgroup?
Does anyone know where I can watch this full seminar?
Hello Mr. Bill, Great video I've listen to it a few times over, I did have some questions ask you.when you talk about your sales Process
Amazing
Thanks sir.i learn this video
Got surprised when he said cold calling is stupid. Sorry Sir :( I was actually planning to make 200 calls per day :(

+Tony Deluch Hey, I think you shouldn't necessarily listen to one person and base your decisions off of what they said... Also, I think you're misunderstanding what he means when he says not to cold call. I think he means cold calling is stupid if you don't meet the characteristics he goes over. Maybe you should focus on cold calling to set up an appointment to discuss your product or service (giving more time for trust to build), rather than trying to sell on the first try. Good luck, and I hope you actually make the calls. I think you'll learn a lot!

Telemarketing still works, but the mainstream media has hounded on this issue for so long that television viewers associate all telemarketing calls the same. It can work, but it is only effective in some industries now. The best industries in which cold calling is still used is with business to business, consumer home improvements, real estate sales, and insurance marketing and sales. I maybe missing a couple more, but these industries still rely heavily upon cold calling and cold calling still works. It is just more challenging now due to the Do Not Call lists and cell phones. Telemarketing should not be your only form of marketing however.
inspirational
i agree with you sir that means you sold more

This is good if you are in the "KNOW" for a sales system/program, but for him to explain the process properly he'd have to give you 8 hours+ of material+.

Serious question from someone who's been there and done that, you say "Cold calling is dead" but "You don't have enough qualified prospects". Which is it? Unless your company is a marketing machine with lots of inbound leads, how do you propose to find prospects? Don't tell me LinkedIN or Twitter are the answer. Lots of sales organizations still use those activity metrics (how many daily calls/emails) like they're stuck in the '90's because that's the last time their VP of Sales made a sale!
Great presentation. Unfortunately, it was disappointing for me to find out that Napoleon Hill actually never met Andrew Carnegie and was never commissioned by him to do anything. So we have no idea whether anything in his book is valid or true.
