@@thewatcher9500Nightwing typically starts earlier into his life. Typically early 20s, so it’s not too wild to think about. Plus Angel could always do more martial arts training for the role. Plenty of actors have.

Because Mark Strong is WORKING OUT for a role in this series, I can see it being Hugo Strange since there are a lot of important Batman stories where Hugo Strange works out to become as strong as Batman and even ends up putting on the costume and goes around "playing" Batman after Batman is allegedly dead. But maybe it's actually just Zsasz cause he's always shirtless too so makes sense getting in shape for that.

Honestly, when an actor posts something like Asher did, it usually means they DON'T have the role, but want to get people talking about it/campaigning for it. Otherwise they'd be keeping their mouth completely shut, no way James Gunn would OK something like that if he actually had talks with him.

Some great speculation on Mark Strong's role! I'm really torn on what it could be. I guess we'll find out fairly soon. I'm shocked at these recent photos of Asher Angel. I do think of him as a young boy, but now he definitely looks like a young man, kind of a heartthrob type, perfect for Nightwing.

Interesting asher angel has been cast in the dcu. I would love to some of the other Shazam actors like grace Carolina Currey in the dcu as well maybe as wonder Woman.

Maybe he could play as Rupert Thorn. Another well known Mob boss. Professor Hugo Strange could be a fantastic character.

Hoping teen titans is actually being developed (I remember DCU leaks mentioning it along side other potential projects) as it would be very special for both the comic and general audience. Asher Angel and Gabriel P Chung are currently the only actors I recall teasing something related to the titans project, although they just may be doing an Alan Richardson kinda thing.

He could be playing Maroni in flashback scenes to piece together the upcoming story happening in the show

As far as Asher Angel as Nightwing I love the idea, He acted his ass off in Shazam and was probably had the best performance but he was Billy Batson. If The Script is Done for Teen Titans and if it is actually happening, Gunn Said Casting would only happen after the Script is finished and Maybe Supergirl has a director and Co-Signed with Gunn on Milly Alcock but it just hasn’t been announced yet

Mark Strong could play Hush too.. but that Gotham series quote says Victor Zsasz or Freeze.. He's a little older for Zsasz and I think we'd all prefer Freeze.. Francois Choi is pretty big too.. He was on the list and I always assumed Hugo Strange . I don't think Strong is good for Strange but Choi definitely is

Hey Boba, I hope you see this because I would like to hear your thoughts. With Amanda Waller’s shenanigans continuing into the DCU from the DCEU, I’ve been thinking about where a watching order should start for this new universe and I think the answer might surprise people. I think the through line of tone (joke heavy but emotionally honest, you know, the Guardians vibes if you will) the feel of a lived in world full of superheroes and the essential narrative beats slide back to a specific film. While they’re saying that this universe starts with Creature Commandos and then Superman, we obviously have to include Peacemaker. If we’re including Peacemaker then we’re including The Suicide Squad. If we’re including The Suicide Squad we have to include Birds of Prey. I think the character arc of Margot’s Harley Quinn is completely uninterrupted from Birds to Suicide, and they easily share a similar tone and the story feels like it takes place on the same world just in different scopes. Suicide Squad (1) is out because it narratively ties to the DCEU in a way Birds doesn’t. Birds starts with a reference to an unseen break up between Joker and Harley and sets up everything we need to know about the world without any specific reference to anything specifically DCEU. Then The Suicide Squad sets up everything you need to know for itself. While I love the Shazam movies a lot and Black Adam much less I actually think Shazam’s DCEU logos keep it out of the DCU and Black Adam fits right in if you disregard the credit scene cameo the way we’re being told to disregard the DCEU Justice League at the end of Peacemaker. I don’t think I’m stretching here and I think starting with Birds of Prey is a clean way to go when having continuity arguments with your nerd friends. I love the channel, man, keep it up. P.S. Do you think Mark’s beefing up because Hugo is gonna become obsessed with The Batman like in Batman: Prey? Maybe this time he takes on the cowl himself and The Batman Part Two is a doppelgänger mystery? I think it would be SUCH an unexpected move for the villain to just be “Batman” and Bruce has to figure out who he is while his allies start to wonder if he’s snapped. Maybe Caped Crusader isn’t the only time we see Bruce in therapy in the near future. Cheers.

Y'all I feel validated. I forget where I posted it (thinking about it, I think it was on a stream for this channel), but I said a while ago that Asher Angel would make a great Nightwing. If that happened, that would be very cool. He's got the look and the right vibe and I think the right age for if he shows up in a few years. I would be very excited to see his take on it.
