What Made Those Noises In The Night?

Ойын-сауық

Curiosity finally got the best of me concerning some Noises In The Night that I had heard in the dense brush of a ravine in North Idaho.
I armed myself and with my video camera, and I climbed down into the bottom to see if there was anything living there, or if what I had heard was sounds made by large animals (they were really loud) that were essentially on their way through.

Thank you, Brian. And that was ten years ago.., I’m four months away from 78, and still going. I just got back from a daily conditioning walk that involves a bunch of hills and even stairs (exterior concrete… stuff that Bisbee, AZ is famous for) that is keeping me in almost great condition. It’s about a mile, with hardly anything flat. Soon it will be twice per day, and then I’ll add my pack with camera equipment. My motto is “Kill Your Recliner”.😁

Boy I wasnt sure you were gonna get to the top the last bit. Until I saw the trail and ur truck. One thing ive heard so many people talk about when ur solo is to let people know where your at and where ur off hiking too. Even if you leave a note on ur camper, dated and where youve hiked off to and your return plan, Just in case you fall, or get injured this way someone can find you. Better to be safe than sorry. Plus always have a small back pack with survival water and maybe a snack or 2 along with a sm first aid kit. Glad ur alright 🙂 From the PNW

Thanks for your concern… I am familiar with the protocols, sometimes do them, sometimes don’t get around to it, depending mostly on the situation and my level of laziness at the time. After many many years of doing this kind of stuff (I’m now 77) for the most part I still feel safer in the woods with animals than I do in cities with some people. But you’re right about the food and water thing for sure. Next time I’ll load the day pack.

I swear at age 12 I was followed home by a bigfoot that terrified me and a friend that night. My second one sounds crazy but in 2015 I saw a werewolf / German shepherd headed creature on 2 legs in Pennsylvania . A year ago it was caught on a trailcam. You can easily see it's silhouette. The bigfoot encounter was in New York. Stay safe out there

  • @gr8northernpike

It is surprisingly easy to get ‘lost’… but there is a level of awareness that keeps that from happening….my trick is to hold on to that level of awareness instead of reverting to what I call “city mind” instead of “Mountain mind”… really hard to explain, it’s using the same senses in a little different fashion. If I ever figure out how to explain it, I’ll do a separate video about it. It takes me about two weeks of being in the mountains to achieve that level of consciousness, to where it works essentially on auto pilot, 24-7. It is possible to get ‘there’ almost immediately, but that takes continuous awareness of the process which lessens the effectiveness, because my mind is being used to be aware of the process. Like trying to go to sleep is different than going to sleep. Like Zen and the art of being in the woods. I don’t know if that makes any sense…but it’s the best i can do right now. Thanks for your encouragement and concern.

Stephen , Just joined your podcast , I am around the same age and for some reason feel the same ?? Been aware of Bigfoot since six or seven as a previous text expressed , That quite a spell , In the Sierra Nevadas but have been to a lot of the adjoining states , Up at Bear lake a few years ago we stayed on the Idaho side up the St. Charles arm on the small towns west side , They run cattle down from the high country , Fished and enjoyed our camp with just eight or so groups scattered, I would as we sat around the look with a good flashlight around the brook behind camp up into the dark thicker woods , We stayed an extra night as they were closing and were alone there , There was a sighting between us and Logan canyon I later found out , My daughter and I both heard what I from years in this arena know was a Sasquatch walking deliberately through camp , I know the indigenous wildlife , Not a doubt , My daughter later said she had heard it too, When it’s past two a.m. and the first colder night as you lie there ya just don’t want to look ! I will in the future rake a perimeter or areas to catch footprints just to gauge size to how many , I know if cloaked you may not get prints from experiences , I still have a hard time with the newer paranormal attributes, I don’t have a doubt in this regard , You said you heard a Grizzly down that lil ravine , Could you tell if it was in distress or in a battle or ? Sometimes you can. Or any other sounds that just didn’t sit right with you ? I am clear headed and on point and I just started with the first video of this two part , I want you to know I tell it straight and don’t bs or make something outa nothing , Please remember this , I saw a portal as you came down to the flats , Many entities in and around ok , I don’t know how to say it but just tell it precisely as it is , What I tell you I wouldn’t believe if someone told me , I was out hiking some rugged terrain in Utah and my ph got damaged and was to be replaced so in the mean time I used a old ( 8-10 yr old) Apple i Phone ok , Follow me here , I noticed as I do in a podcast related to this topic or just a wild setting regardless of age that when I pause at places I deem they could be watching to ? That I saw what later was confirmed with ONLY THIS PHONE ! What I see is portals that are like a mirage u know a watery type image that around it to within are some bizarre beings to Sasquatches in places or positions indicative to their presence , This is common , Even people in predated attire ? Possibly lost and gone to the worse , Nothing planted this seed in me nor am I influenced by anything , As I stated it just transpired ok ! Other phones didn’t show any of this ? The few I showed were blown away , Hard to in this format tell someone this ! I am precise in what I am saying , No ego in regards to this topic and understand this arena nowadays from my first trackway south of Yosemite but in the park back in a remote private area with scattered cabins but not crowded and most vacation cabs going back many years with the Merced river coming down from Gods country , I fished down a few miles very young at dawn , So I grew from the beginning of my awareness of these creatures or now being or both as a Native American I trust and earned the respect from , His knowledge goes back to his elders too , Petroglyphs showing a family of Bigfoot no doubt and what their interpretation of a ufo would be void of any tv of previous knowledge that they illustrated above the family of Bigfoot , It’s legit , A forest service professional in that expertise predated the blood & berry and whatever they used paint to way back , I knew that by where we discovered this unique petroglyph with other indigenous wildlife and the norm for these ,I was intrigued by so far just starting as you got to the bottom what I saw as I explained above in this comment , I can only use words to express this to you , I don’t lie and am as clear headed as always , I am as baffled by this as whom I express it too! Again in many regardless of dates or even the subject manner like a short with elk with bugling bulls , Seeing there also , To date other phones made by many companies don’t have this ability ? I have a few others that see the exact same thing , I have since a kid those well trained mountain or educated eyes out there . On ‘ Flash Of Beauty ‘ a newer podcast Henry Fanzoni ( spell?) on a panel of guys in this that have paid their dues to evolving with the topic at hand , You should chk it out ? In videos , About eight or so are on the money , Not stagnant . Navigating to accrue knowledge or get answers you must be wary , It’s up in the Northwest in Washington state , It didn’t change much in my journey but confirmed what I have by happen chance experienced. Please don’t think this is bs or some lunatic . Sincerely, Kevin Standow .

Most of the hillside has Huckleberry plants on it, but the berries were almost all gone. It is one of those places where, because of the Huckleberries, the odds of a bear being around are pretty high. They’re more interested in the berries than me, but there’s always a chance for weirdness to happen, so vigilance is advised. The mother bear and her cub left the immediate area the previous day (not saying they didn’t sneak back during the night) so I basically felt OK with doing the search in this video. You’re right...one of them was a bear tearing a dead tree apart, looking for grubs to eat (I assume)…amazing wood ripping sounds…just before midnight. The part that got my attention was when a fairly large piece of wood seemed to have been thrown horizontally from where it was torn from the main body of the tree or stump to where it landed… I never did really figure that one out.

I don't know why it is that people don't seem to understand that a LOT of animals come out at night... more than just nocturnal animals. Many of them come out to get water from a stream. One notorious animal for coming out at night is the feral hog. There are several others as well. Perhaps they feel safer in the dark since their predators can't see them. There is no more reason to feel scared when you hear them than when you don't. As long as you have bear spray, an air horn and a firearm, you are pretty much safe and should not be alarmed.

Sometimes little noises are just little noises… but sometimes they are big things trying to be quiet.
