Thank you for sharing your story 😃 I'm currently going thru the steps to get my CDL and training for free thru a program funded in my state (by the government).. like you said, sometimes things aren't as easy to obtain, but definitely worth all the red tape and processes you have to endure to get to where you want to be! .. be encouraged and stay excited about your future, you will eventually get there.. and whether or not Amazon works out for you, simply having your CDL (when you get it) will be the golden key that can open many doors of opportunity for you ☺️ all the best to you..

Thank you! It means a lot! My 20s have definitely been mistake after mistake lol but it’s lessons learned to say the least.

I'm currently working at fedex express as a package handler. 3 months in, waiting on the 6th month to transfer. It's either going to be a courier or cdl position. If I do choose the cdl way, they say fedex covers the process as long as we have a learners permit. My concerns are similar to yours though; the size of the truck and the horror stories we see/hear all the time. Also, not knowing the details of the upcoming "merger" and not knowing what it means has me questioning if I should be trying to jump ship before it hits the fan. However, I'm hearing once you obtain a cdl, you can go anywhere with it.

I ended up quitting CDL school on my second day in February last year mainly because I was iffy about whether or not I wanted to do night shift for 2 years and then the second reason that I left is because I wanted to try to do music on the side and hopefully turn it into a career but things haven't panned out the way I hoped and I'm currently working at FedEx ground as a delivery driver

for starters, nothings paying what they should pay. Their is a shortage of pay. A trip from LA to Miami should be, at least in my case, 15k. you know how much they're paying? 7k average. You're just working for your diesel and some other payments. Now for local company drivers, they should pay minimum starting 1350 a week. Many lie you will make 1500. But you don't. This trucking shit is over and freight is slow as F anyways. @@yo_284
