This may sound like a simple topic, unfortunately, a lot of people do have problem fitting the right strap on their watch. Fitting the right strap can make a watch 100 times better looking. In this video I will go through as many examples as I can to educate you guys with my years of experience fitting the right strap onto my watches. I will first go through the 5 most popular case and dial variations. Closer to the end of the video I will go through examples of odd dial tone variations.
ps. Fitting a nice watch strap does not mean it has to be an expensive strap.
Hope you'll enjoy this video as I will continue to produce more of this kind of video.

Great video(or should I say treatise) on a subject many of us take for granted. While common sense would conclude the appropriate watch band to be picked-common sense is the least common of the senses for many of us. Your chosen examples visually make your points. There's nothing worse than having a remarkable watch that's not being complimented by having an appropriate band. Bravo on this video. On a subject some would easily dismiss as mundane this belongs with some of your best . I really appreciate the length(and effort) that has gone into the preparation and execution of this video.

I’ve got a few Omega watches and my latest find is an original Seamaster 1948 bumper automatic cal 351 center second two tone dial in completely unrestored nicely but gently patinared condition and I absolutely adore it however, it’s on a cool 50s expander bracelet which is ok but I’d really would love to get an original buckle for this reference ,bit not sure the item reference or even size as lugs 18 and it might taper to 16 ? Also it would be nice to match an original looking strap made with the said buckle to complete the look . I’d love to send you a picture of it but not sure how to . Kind regards from sunny Cape Town.

Why is that? I have a solid gold Omega Constellation with gold dial fitted on a green croco strap. It looks amazing! You can see it here: kzread.info/dash/bejne/fn2Il9yRg7Csj8o.html

@@TimelessHistoryChannel I have a gold nato herringbone strap and a green marine strap and with both straps I’ve been told I should be wearing uniform colours as it is a black and white dial or a blue dial blue bezel watch that I own.

@@atifghafoor6258 I cannot make a visual of what your watch looks like. All that I can say is, matching the correct strap and using a quality one is highly important.

This is incorrect. You're supposed to balance things out. If the watch is very simple, making the strap very simple will just give you a Minimalist look. In general most people want a balance. Same for colors, if you want the dial to pop you don't put a strap with the same color, you have it be a complement color. Matching everything basically turns your watch into a bracelet

Sorry about that. They work great on older watches like a Trench watch.

Sport watches are probably one of the easiest to match a strap for though
