You’re in a better position to judge than we are, since you’ve actually met the owners. I don’t like to pass judgment from my sofa thousands of miles away; so many factors could be at play with such people - ignorance, depression, lack of money - who knows. When I was younger I had no idea that there was any such thing as a dog groomer. What seems obvious to some is not always obvious to others. Let’s hope this generous gesture of yours will open their eyes.

There is NO excuse for treating an animal like this! People like this should NOT be given that $100! The dog should be taken from them and rescued. The sad thing is that there are no public rescue shelters in your country... Only amazing people who care like you folks and your friend. I’ve had the same tenet throughout my life… if you want to have animals , learn how to care for them & do it! If you don’t want them, or can’t care for them properly, give them to people who can… find them good homes. It’s that simple.

I do try to understand other peoples circumstances and things that happened to them, but I also look at what they’ve accomplished because of those circumstances. I think this dog could’ve been treated much better, and you did a wonderful thing for this dog! I hope that it has a better life! I do groom my dogs at home, but I went on and got my certificate because it was much cheaper than having them groomed!😊😊. I love the work you both do!❤😊

It seems that this is a Hungarian herding dog also called puli dog. This breed is known for its long, corded coat (similar to dreadlocks). Unfortunately he was in poor condition, but a complete grooming was certainly not necessary. He will always get a corded coat, unless he is often brushed. It would have been better to cording and partially shorten the coat. I am disappointed that a groomer did not recognize what breed it was and what kind of care the dog needed. I hope that the dog will receive better help in the future. I adopted an 11 year old Puli and it's not hard to make sure the corded coat don't get too big and too long.

I worry that these owners will not spend the £100 on this wee dog. To be in such a state, how can they say they care. If I wasn't able to look after my dog, I would give it up to a rescue center. I would never let an animal suffer. Her skin must have been so itchy and sore.! Not to mention the ticks as well. I watched you groom her and you can tell how kind and lovely a person you are. Well done for helping this wee creature ❤ xx

Coming from being a groomer myself we were taught to do all the prep before the bath including nails, ears, pads, sanitary trims etc why do u do it afterwards? Is it just preference? Just curious i know everyone has different styles and ways of doing things.

Maybe instead of a $100, why don't you offer a free yearly grooming for the life of the dog? I know a year is a while....but most of these dogs have probably gone years without grooming. At least once a year would give the animal a comfortable life until it's next groom. Or maybe use the $100 for dog supplies. Dog food, dog bed....dog toys.

Tener una mascota es un lujo, nadie los obliga a tenerlos. La atencion veterinaria, alimento y la peluquería son cosas basicas que deben tener si o si, ellos no viven de amor Asi que no hay razon para defender a los "dueños" no hay excusa valida para que tengan a su perro en esa condición

It just galls me that these people would take the $100. They don’t deserve to be paid. Yes, that was judgemental but I can't help it. All my adult life, I have taken in rescue dogs, never dreaming of be paid. I just want to give these angels a loving home. May God change their hearts!

If their going to take it they should just have the shop make it like a credit so they can get future grooming.

I wash my dog at home. I just learned about a descending shampoo.i wish I knew ew sooner about this. It would have made my life easier.

Yes, we are. We just not recording that, because it is not interesting for people to watch. 😏 but yeah, almost half of them are again in the same situation, just there are maybe one year past (and they were in bad condition 3+ years)... the other half is ok and also, we have some number of rescued dogs who are coming to salon on regular treatment 🙂

Many people just don't know they have to care for animals like dogs. They think they can be "wild" and ok, like wolves. They also think animals don't feel pain very much, so the cut their tails and ears off, thinking it's ok to do that. Many people don't deserve the love and loyalty of a dog. But then, I am an animal lover.

I’ve never heard of corn concentrate but it doesn’t seem like it’s good nutrition for a dog. Sometimes people have dogs to do backyard breeding and only care about the money the dog brings in.

In Australia we pay a lot of money when we want a puppy. I think it’s wonderful you clip for free but they shouldn’t be paid for this service. Perhaps you could give them the equivalent amount in vet products like worming tablets and tick protection.

We had the bread people and now the corn people. The things people feed their dogs is crazy. I had no idea. At least here in America you can buy dog food for cheap cheap…

There is absolutely no excuse for pet owners when they neglect their animals. You can treat your pet good, even if you are poor. But many people aren’t even poor, they just don’t care.

Absolutely no excuse for not taking care of your dog. It's a privilege to take care of another living creature. If you can't or won't do that, you simply can't have an animal.

I bet the dogs get worse and worse over time and the owners don't really notice it because they get used to their dogs looking like that. I don't think a lot of people think of how much work a dog actually is before getting one and they just expect it to take care of itself. I think it is the same with houses, but just a guess.

If these owners were in Canada, they'd be banned from ever owning a dog again. Would be fine heavily for abuse to an animal and the dog would be taken. For any country to not have animal protection laws is sad

Yes, I agree... but here is stupid govermant and in this case nobody is guilty. We have thousends of dogs in this condition just because we don't have the law and police for animals.

Are you saying the dog was “rescued” and brought to you three years ago to be groomed and now the same dog was brought in it’s present sad state AGAIN by the same people?! So it’s been their dog all along and they just want to be paid for YOU to do a second groom?!? It would be very justified for you to keep the dog and find it a decent home. To say the very least. Letting them keep the poor suffering babe is complete madness.

It doesn’t cost anything to brush your own dog, even if you buy a cheap brush. And it does not cost anymore to wash your dog at home. It is just plain lazy neglect on the part of an owner. It’s not rocket science and a person doesn’t have to be a vet to see the straight up dirt and mats on a dog. No excuse for it unless the owner is in a coma or dead.

No excuse. They elected to get a dog and this means "responsibilities". Have no sympathies for such people.

It looks like you guys must be doing great things for these dogs, but these videos are so over produced I can't even watch them any more. I just thought you'd want to know.
