I had to put it down to think for a bit. I was not prepared to deal with arc 1 Subaru again. It was crazy and another reason why arc 6 is so far easily the best arc for me.

One of the best chapters in arc 6.Arc 6 is my favorite arc because it has some amazing chapters and character development

No other work of fiction has ever had me pacing around the house freaking out. I couldn't sleep. I HAD to read. This arc is a masterpiece just wait...

I think it would be honestly terrible to have to go through what Julius did, and also poor Ram man :< even if she didn't show it she very much depended on Subaru when it came to Rem so that hope just suddenly disappeared like nothing happened

This is described as the true beginning to arc 6, so have fun. My reaction was a mixture of shock and disbelief, I was utterly terrified because now he is completely blank, he doesn’t know about RBD and he doesn’t know anyone there, the experience he has had that allowed him to become a badass are gone, so it could go anywhere when he has not memories. ‘Did I get transported to a parallel world!’ Me: wait what… wait a minute, wait a minute! no no no no no this this isn’t good, h-how is he going to solve the tower? How did he lose his memories? WHY TAPPEI! WWWHHHYY!?

i remember i was really worried whe i read subaru lost his memory. and i was pleased julius was suffering, i take it personally for him beating up subaru before and thats the perfect way for him to repent. despite that, after a while i kinda felt like tappei was going a bit too rough on him. it was so obvious to me that echidna used magic to help julius only because she cares for him. why is it that he didnt guessed it?

I don’t see why. Julius got upset because this complete stranger was insulting him and all of his friends when he obviously didn’t know what he was talking about. Maybe he went a bit too far, but you can’t blame him for being a bit hot tempered. Ever sense he’s tried to fairly judge Subaru based off of his actions and has seemingly been more forgiving than Subaru has been towards him. Their relationship from that moment has basically been Subaru making jabs at him while he occasionally returns a jab but in a more dignified/rational manner. I’ve only seen Julius Jukulius as a pretty cool and rational guy, that maybe cares a bit too much about the honor of a knight. He kind of gave up on taking pride in his swordsmanship after meeting Reinheart, so he found his niche (spirit arts blades man) and used that as something to strive for. I feel like at some point he gave up on swordsmanship as a result. Like, he focused all of his attention on spirit arts which burned him after losing his connection to his spirits. He realized that without things external to him, that which was stripped away, he’s not proud of what he’s made himself. He feels weak and disheartened. I don’t know exactly where his character arc is leading because I haven’t read that far, but maybe he’ll come to terms with the fact that relying on others in leu of your own strength isn’t a mark of shame, or maybe he’ll learn to not compare his strength to others and simply strive to be the best he can be regardless of what he can realistically achieve. I don’t know. For now, he’s said his apologies ages ago if I remember correctly and he’s going through his own stuff right now, so I don’t think he needs some sort of punishment to be even more forgiven or something.

Hell yeah!! Dude you are for sure going to cry, it really gets intense, but this is the part that elevates arc 6 to masterpiece territory

Arc 6 is peak fiction. Its been over 2 years now i think for me. Arc 6 is definitely the darkest Re:Zero has been this far. I could power read arc 4 and arc 5 but could not power read arc 6 because it just became so heavy at certain points in the arc. Here is now kinda where the arc really kicks into gear, crazy if you think about what already went down up to this point. This far Arc 6 is my favorite arc, the themes are just right up my alley.

Didn't think about Julius part again honestly overlooked it because of Subaru situation but great catch

These chapters are so good. But on top of that, Julius’ character is one of my favourites from Re:Zero. I just love the way this arc handled him.

Pain + confusion, 50-50. I still cannot imagine what Subaru went through in arc 6.

you really should prepare yourself cause if you were confused in those chps then later you re gona lose your mind(you will figure it out fast but still....),you re gona enjoy arc 6 a lot!i was waiting for chps to come out and even tho that was painful i still loved it!we went for over a year without a chp then and the clifhanger was insane.....after a long time tepei-sensei started putting out chps daily!!that was a joy! talked too much about it cause it scared me....anyway,i think arc 6 is one of the best and it has (imo) the best "scene" in the story till now(yes!better than all those great moments/scenes we allready got!).much love,i hope you have a great year

Ngl that chapter left me traumatized and looking at my ceiling for 15min. And all the while I was hardcore thinking on what were the causes and what could he do to solve the situation.

Arc6 is so good that i wont be suprise if Tappei cant write something better than this

6:22 I believe it was mentioned that since beatrice was in the forbidden library when rem got erased, so she was protected from gluttony’s authority, so beatrice still remembers rem right? or am I wrong? Someone fact check me

arc5 of the web novel, near the end its stated how beatrice lost her memory of rem once the library was destroyed. so, no, sadly she lost memory too.

The first time I read it, it was shocking. I already knew that Subaru will forget his memories but I didn't expect it that chapter & in that way. I was so surprised. Right in the middle of figuring out how to defeat Reid arghh! And after reading Chapter 35, I just thought of one thing. Subaru has to get back his memories or they'll get fucked up. Like, without Subaru, the Courtesian(?) Bear incident would have been the death of their team. And what will amnesia- Subaru's first RBD reaction would be like? How would amnesia-Subaru's mind would be like. He's in a secluded place. Fuuuucckkk!!! Though I can't wait for HollowGraphic to get to read the other 3 named chapters, particularly the 2 Subaru named & the next chapter next to the second named Subaru chapter. Those are my favorite chapters in the whole Arc 6. I know it would take quite the time for him to reach this chapters, I reaaally want to know his reactions for it. My favorite in the three although is the second Natsuki Subaru named chapter. I loved it. Thank you HollowGraphic for the hardwork

Sorry to say random chapters discusions seems .......disjointed? unlike your 1st trys on reading reaction of arc 5 nobody has a clue what you thoght on thing leading up to arc 6. You might be better served to take notes and do a multi part arc discusion were your audience can see were your coming from. Basically its nessesarry to reread the wn if you do not have it very freshly on your mind especally for arc 6 due to its structure.
