I have been working for Accenture as a software developer for over five years. The length of each project varies. I had a project that lasted for over four years and I had another project that lasted for a year. The number of hours a person works each week depends on the project. For each of my projects, I worked between 40 - 45 hours per week. I would work on some weekends. After you get hired by Accenture, you are put on the bench. While you are on the bench, you need to find a project. You can spend time in training, but finding a project is your first priority. Before you start to work on a project, you have to get interviewed by the client. If you pass the client's interview, you can work on the client's project. If not, you have to find another project. I have been on three one-week business trips. I've been to Denver twice and to India once. (I live in California.)

This video was very informative! I think it would have been helpful to have some insight into firms outside of Big 4 and Accenture, especially the highly competitive firms like McKinsey, Bain & Co., and BCG. They’re also well known, but their interview processes and work/life balance are more intense, and it would have been cool to get perspectives from both Big 4 and MBB.
