Adjust your lockup apply time, it will smooth out the lock (Circle-D here too, tighter at 2800rpm 4l80e 4.11).

He says it's a fully forged 6.0L with a built 4L80E transmission. 3.90 gears with Eaton Trutrac still 10 bolt, 4000 RPM Circle D converter. Runs on E85.

At 85 mph.....drive the speed limit and mileage will likely improve. Also running e85 which lowers mileage by 20% or more.

Lol. Its a Silverado with a drop kit and wheels and some performance parts, not sure how it's Mexican-style. I don't see a million cringey stickers on the back window or the back of the truck dropped way lower than the front, or big .ass rims

Hey bro. In what order would you do the upgrades? Torque converter, gears, and cam swap ? If you had to start again. I don't know if there's a certain way to do things stall before gears, etc. I've read alot of forums and can't get solid answers. Whats your rpms at 85 mph? I have a 06 silverado 4x4 with a 5.3 cammed out, 4l80e trans, full length headers, 4.56 gears front and rear, 33x12.5x20 tires and a 3 inch exhaust. Cruising at 85mph I'm running 3400 rpm

Look at getting a gear vendors for your truck, it will really bring the rpms down and plus you can split gears with it so you technically have an 8 speed, it really helps when your doing pulls. second over is where the butter is at.

Lol sounds about right on the MPG, my 2006 Escalade with just heads, a stage 2 Texas speed cam, 3000 stall converter, and built 4L60gets about 12 MPG on the highway 😂 city driving Im lucky to get 10 MPG.

Dude here in Odessa, Tx, we only have 2 E85 stations. Only one has E85 right now, and it’s takes a solid couple of minutes to pump one gallon. No exaggeration haha

@@xgntwrxgaming674 Oh nice! They are both stripes/Sunoco stations, 11200 E Highway 191, Midland, Tx - is the first one, and they haven’t had E85 since the beginning of this month. And the second station is 10510 W 42nd St, Odessa, Tx - And I literally went yesterday to fill up at that one and they are also finally out of E85 so I had to switch back to 87 for the time being. Also, neither store can tell you when they will get E85 either. I just moved here from Lewisville, North of Dallas, and I need to meet some cool people out here.

12 mpg on e85 is not bad, considering the energy content of pure gas vs. ethanol, that truck should get 15.6 mpg on alcohol-free gas. Really not bad for a 6.0 with a nasty camshaft.

I'm gonna swap the 6.0 for a 6.2 and I reallllyyy want to cam it, but I'm not sure I enjoy driving a cammed 6.0 as a daily, at least not as much as I thought. Maybe a mild cam

I think the 6.0 is more than enough. Especially if you get a stage 2 btr cam you can make 480+ hp. You’ll make a lot more torque and hp all around so don’t worry about drivability

Dude i found a nicely done 2002 RCSB 5.3L lowered, painted, tuned, but it has no posi trac and it’s 3.42 gear - I am thinking of buying it and camming it, and putting 4.10 gears and positrac + a fresh street tune, but I don’t think the price is low enough to justify doing all of that

You can use it to manually shift the truck. Helps if you’re doing a roll and want it to start in a certain gear vs. having the truck downshift

E85 has less energy per volume so it will typically have reduced mpg. Regular fuel will get better mpg. Cruising rpms will also impact mpg. Nice truck and considering the setup your mpg seems ok.

@@romero.4089 i mean even Camaros do better then that 22/30 I don’t understand why trucks get such bad mileage like they may be heavy but if you throw a good camper shell I don’t see why it should be so bad

Man that's a bad azz truck! What's the exhaust setup?

Mine is a 92 ls1 fully built swapped ls1 t56 truck. You have a mild cam compared to mine. My truck bucks like crazy in first gear.

@@SiskBuilt I can't remember, but it's too big. It's great on the open road but stop and go traffic or driving in a parking lot sucks. I built the engine 7 years ago and can't remember exactly the cam size the cam but I remember it's a comp cam and 627 is the only number off the cam sheet that I can remember. It made 570 whp at 6800 rpm. Callies crank with wiseco pistons 230cc AFR heads edelbrock pro flow intank with a 92 mm throttle body Every nut and bolt are ARP. The picture by my name is actually the engine in the truck.
