Hopefully, there is a plan in place to take care of these elite sport horses through their retirement and to their end as well. Some.of these horses are found going into the meat trade...please make some.kind of law to keep this from happening. These horses have given of themselves their entire life, let's make sure they are taken care of forever. Thanks Go look up " Legacy of Legends" , a sanctuary for elderly elite horses from the sport of dressage, stadium jumping and eventing.

Same with the grooms. Was a groom for over 25 years. My body paid the price for working and caring for horses. Arthritus, joints, carpal tunnel. No retirement, pension, health insurance. Or a place to live. Really don't make the kind of money people think you do. I only made $17 thousand a year even though I was given a place to live on the farm. Nobody wants or cares for you when you get older and are of no use to anyone anymore. Or if your boss passes away or goes out of business or quits riding and owning horses.
