I am a middle aged mixed person, Indigenous (Native American) and Spanish/Irish. I understand being an “other” and self esteem issues. I have been told I look exotic (not something I appreciate) and I have been graced with aging slowly and maintaining my appearance. It’s taken me years of healing from trying to fit in to one of the three cultures I grew up with…to running from community as I never could find my place. Self-esteem within the global community of mixed people is something that is important to highlight. When I was your age, I had my siblings and not many others that could relate with my experience of walking on the periphery (never within) of different cultures. Thank you for sharing your story.

You are unique mixed person. I don't hear so much about half filipino and half macedonian.

OMG im also half filipino and macedonian living in australia !! i never thought there were any mixed filo-macos other than my brother and i until now

I think you'd fit well in the Philippines cause there's a lot of mixed people that look like you. Specially in luzon.

Appreciate the comment! Yeah Yugoslavs are definitely passionate about there background haha. I actually didn’t bother telling my grandparents because they would just deny it and say that the DNA results weren’t accurate 💀

Thanks for the comment :) I went to Philippines as a child to visit but was raised up in Sydney Australia. I’m going to Thailand next month so I was also thinking about passing by Philippines as well!

@@HalfieLife_ That is a long story but I have a friend here. Filipinos mixed with the Spanish so I do not think the you would suffer any prejudice here.

bro i didnt know you are a half filipino. i have strong hunch that your filipino parent has dominant austronesian gene or much better no melanesian genes many east asian likes our physical appearance attractive if we have weak or no melanesian feature. my ex japanese gf said that we dont look their "filipino" stereotype of dark skin flat big nose people, they didnt know our features are common in luzon area; they like that our face because our face is not very deep but not very flat as well. hence it is easier for someone like us to get a japanese gf than a white guy and based on your genetic result yes you are a filipino, you will not be minority here infact if you didnt said you are half I will mistaken you as fully filipino. many people who look like you live in calabarzon central luzon and north luzon; if you came here you will notice it especially in the province, people here are like "dark skinned" chinese. people in south philippines looks different tho they are the stereotyped filipinos of big eyes big nose dark skin they are considered as minority here tho. another fact you look like one of my half filipino japanese friend
