In Josh's 22 phenomenal years, he lived a novel of adventures and passions. We, as his family are proud to announce the establishment of the Josh Neuman Foundation, which will not only carry on his legacy, but fulfill his burning desire to leave the world a better place than he found it.
The JNF will share his global commitment to combat homelessness, end hunger, provide clean water, protect natural resources, among other causes, all while establishing a pioneering educational platform to help aspiring artists learn the intricacies of establishing their own brand. There will be much more exciting news to come where you can all take an active role and make a difference.

That's life. It's unpredictable to every degree, death has no favorites, we don't know when our finale will present itself but we can have assurance in Jesus if we repent of our sins and trust in him as our savior.

I started Longboarding a couple of Years ago at the age of 40 & despite sufferiing from total nerve paralysis in both of my feet. I had no idea that it would eventually become a borderline addiction of mine. After the first few months I started to become much more familiar with some of the communities as well and the people who were at the top of the game. For me the one guy who stood out was Josh Neuman. i will always remember the day i found his KZread channel where he uploaded these videos of him riding his longboard down all of these long and winding mountain side roads all over the world. I literally binged watch his entire channel in one sitting and then did it again twice. His videos were awe inspiring & terrifying all at once. I couldnt believe i was watching a human being reach speeds of up to 70mph avoiding oncoming and upcoming traffic & doing it on a what is essentially just big piece of wood with rubber wheels. These videos were mesmerising, his control & skill was incredible but mostly I was in awe of how brave, confident and utterly fearless he was. When I had my first ever really bad spill on my board it took me almost 2 weeks to physically recover and even longer to do so mentally. But when Josh fell off his board face first at 60 mph and his bare chest skidded across the tarmac removing most of the skin on his torso...he just got up, screamed a bit, went to the hospital, got patched up & walked out a few hours later with a smile on his face ready to go again. It's so rare to see someone with that level of passion, confidence and contentment. I can only dream & hope to be so happy. One thing I quickly learned is that Longboarders and skateboarders are a very special breed of human being, the passion and love that they have for what they do is almost beyond belief. I wish I had started doing this when i was 10 and not 40 but I cherish every moment I have standing on my board feeling the wind in my face. As twisted as this might sound It’s always harder for me to process the death of someone who was famous for risking their life every day, tragically dying in a freak accident that could have happened to anyone of us. Josh made me realise, more than anyone else ever has, that i can’t spend my life living in fear of anything, especially death, if you do it will only make you afraid to be alive. I realise that anyone dying at 22 years old is always gonna be sad and tragic BUT there is no doubt in my mind that Josh Neuman did a lot more living in his very short life than most people 4 times his age could ever dream of. Whilst I have no desire or ambitions to be able to do with my longboard what Josh Neuman could, he will always be in my heart & i will forever hold him up as a great example of what a human being can achieve IF they’re willing to risk it all. I doubt any of Josh’s family and friends will ever see this comment but on the off chance that they do, I want to tell you what you already know about Josh, he was a truly exceptional & special human being & for myself & millions of other, he will be greatly missed but never forgotten. Godspeed My Brother DC xxx

Oh man, it's been a few years since I've watched Josh's vids. I was sitting here waiting for NFL to start and I figured let me check in and see how this awesome guy is doing. I watched the Switzerland video first (probably my 100th time watching it) and then clicked on videos and found this. I am truly saddened to earn of Josh'd death. About 3 years ago, i commented (under a different user name) in a josh video. I told him how much he reminded of the great world adventurer Steve Fossett. I shared a tiny office with Steve way back in 1978. We became friendly with each other long before he became fabulously wealthy and world famous. He was a quiet guy with a gentle soul, much like Josh. Josh commented back and thanked me for sharing the story, and I was tickled. Steve died in a small plane which he flew off of the Hilton Ranch in Cali. He was just out flying and went down alone in the mountains. It took a very long time to find his remains even with lots of highly trained experts searxhing for him. I'm so glad they were able to locate Josh's remains so that his family could get some closure. I didn't know Josh othe rthan from KZread, but I'm certain he lived a full life in a short span of time. I sure wish he could have adventured for another 50 plus years, but that's not how it ended. To Josh's parents, you raised an amazing young man. He was an inspiration to millions of people. I'm obviously an old guy and i can't begin to express in words the respect I had for him. May he rest in peace with eternal light shining upon him. May God Bless the Neuman Family and all of Josh's friends. I'll miss him a lot, but never forget that he took the time to respond to me in comments. Peace

I discovered Josh about a year ago when he had 700,000 subscribers. After seing one, two, three videos, you can only subscribe to him and be amazed by his talent for longboarding. After that we started talking on Instagram. He was always smiling, with an incredible benevolence. He often gave me advice on longboarding. Even without ever having met him in real life, I considered him a friend, with whom we could talk about everything and anything. It was a pleasure to have known you and talked with you Josh, and an honor to see that one of your videos ( Dream Weekend ) has a title that I suggested. Thank you for introducing so many people to longboarding, you are the reason why I will never stop this sport. Rest in peace bro and don't forget: Legends never die ❤️✨

The freeriding talent of this young man still amazes me every time I re-visit one of his awesome runs. He really did justice to the beautiful places he traveled to. A while back my young great nephew Atlas texted me with a warning that he had very bad news to tell me. He eased the news to me of Josh's passing, knowing it would be sad news indeed. Josh was a mutual connection Atlas and I had, as I, a 64-year-old 2nd year longboarder, and Atlas an 11-year-old, together learning the joys of a well done carve (inspiration from Josh). Thank you, Josh Neuman, for the thrills you gave Atlas and I while we watched your videos together. More importantly, thank-you for being a wonderful role model for my buddy Atlas. unfortunately it was something out of his control. Gonna miss him a lot, his videos were something I had on my other monitor while doing homework or working. RIP an iconic legend and may he longboard the mountains above the clouds forevermore.

I just bought my first longboard at age 42 just to commute locally. I was watching Josh’s videos and getting some tips because there are no longboarders where I live. It was only a few days ago I realized that he passed away. RIP bro 🥲

@@Budget-Guitar-Show-DM I may be a year late, but fuck you bots. this is a genuinely sad video, not one to claim 'I won a prize' on. Genuinely scummy. OP, I agree. RIP Josh, I hope he finds peace in the afterlife, if there even is one.

Just to show the reach Josh had, I’m a 50 year old female camera enthusiast that became impressed by his videos and the way they were presented. I was motivated and inspired by him as a young person starting out who was passionate about his sport and his future adventures. I never met Josh but was deeply saddened to hear of his passing. I’m glad he was on an adventure. My condolences to all who loved him. ❤️

Josh replied to a comment I left on one of his videos about how I wish I could escape my worries and just come skate with him. He replied with a word of encouragement and positivity which at the time meant alot. I'll miss him even though I never knew him. Rest in peace brother thanks for everything. 👊

Last year I was bedridden with COVID. My doctor had said that I can't run for 5 months due to post COVID complications and being overweight. I had made up my mind to get fit and chalked out a few sports that I wanted to perform well in and enjoy getting fitter. It was then when I came across many thrilling video makers and one of them was Josh. Now that I have lost 30 pounds in last 8 months, I was going to buy myself a skateboard next month. I found this video now. I couldn't believe and I still can't. Rest in peace, brother. You have inspired many!

When I was at my toughest last year, after over a year basically isolating myself, I stumbled upon this channel. I discovered the beauty of nature and was inspired to go outside for a change. In addition to making new friends I changed my lifestyle for good because of Josh - I will forever be thankful for what he has done, and inspired by what he wanted to achieve💔 haven’t cried since that time but this brought me back to tears For all my brothers and sisters out there having a bad time: there is always another way out - find a new hobby or concentrate more on an existing one has really proved to be my go to solution❤️ wish all of you truly the best

One my friend told me about his videos years ago and i was completely in love with it... His videos were simple, they were raw, straight downhill run in one take, and an explicit view in the process... It gave me an idea of freedom, I can't really express myself in words, the feeling it gave me but it felt something... I'm really thankful to him for sharing such beautiful videos... . RIP BROTHER YOU'LL BE MISSED ❤️🥺
