I used to skate for years from 11 to 18 and then I stopped for a long time. Your videos have inspired me to start skating again and even though my kick flips are a little rusty i have no clue why i ever set my board down.. thank you!

Anyone who says someone isn't a proper pro just because they skate for a smaller team/company rather than being associated with huge companies like Girl, Flip, Plan B ect is absolutely clueless. I know a few guys who skate for a local skateshop and they make enough money to do nothing other than skate for a living. Doing something for a living makes it a profession, therefore that makes them PROFESSIONAL. It does not matter how well established a company or team is, if someone gets PAID and does it for an actual living, they are professional.

+Zapdog Exactly. The points he made about his particular sponsorship don't have to be true for every pro. You don't have to have a board with your name on it either. It depends on your deal with your sponsor. The only requirement is that skateboarding is your job.

very nerly !!!when i was a kid back in Germanys days.. there was no internet but the thps series on the ps1 and when i saw it just thought wow i loved chad muska for his style but when the 2nd part comes out is just out... i saw Rodney Mullen and he inspired me so much that i began to skate every day around 10 years or so... as you can imagine there wasn't any teachers or internet tutorials in this years... in my high-school days i became very busy so i had to cancel it for a long time... now here in Tokyo as a university student however the laws here are strict you can just skate in facility's and not on the streets i used to... today was my comeback in one of these.. however i have to be more confident thank you for youre support ! i appreciate it very much!

I learned frontside 180s today because of you (: im also getting the "Live, Skate, Die, Revive" board for Christmas and skateboarding made simple volume 1. Im gonna go for pro just like you man, keep inspiring others

***** You know that, but there are a lot of kids who watch this video and they won't get the right impression. Don't get me wrong, I love what Aaron does and he's a great role model for these kids. This story is about his particular road to becoming pro, which isn't made clear in the video. You can't really compare him to 'worldclass' pro's who ride in competitions. Nothing's set in stone. Well, some things are, like the word profession. ;)

A pro skater is a skater who has a pro model skating item like their name on bearings, wheels trucks or a deck. No matter how good you are you are considered an am (amateur) if you don’t have that, there are amateurs beating pros in street league so the tag does matter

I've longboarded for about 4 years now but I've always wanted to skateboard. I've been rocking the username Dvsskater78 since I was 7 on everything but youtube (want to make this account a gamer channel one day) Thank you for the inspiration and all the great videos!

A lot of the no video part problem is that a lot of people dont have people to film. I realised this and try to be a full time filmer for my park since i'm really the only active filmer in my city so i see it as my job. A lot of kids also dont want to wait to put out their footage. I was filming with a kid this year and he kept wanting to show his friends and brother. Eventually we weren't able to get his hardflip down a 7 ender so we just put out a best of 2014 edit for the kid

Hey Aaron, I just want to start off by saying that I watch all of your videos along with the rest of the revive team. I also want to congratulate you on going pro. You deserved it! Anyway, I started a team recently with a few of my friends around my area. All of the members of the team are good and there are a few that are really good, except for me... I can ollie, pop shuv, fs shuv, fs 180, etc on my carpet and on grass and such but I can't even get pop on concrete. I dont know what the problem is and my parents wont let me get SMS because they said it's a waste of money because I dont have a future in skateboarding. Please help, Thank you!
