Very clear and I like the way you clearly explaining this misunderstanding and way of trying to take the rights of producers..
Yes!!! Thank you!!!! How do we change the 'Work For Hire" part of Copyright?
The thing I’d like to hear more about is how “work-for-hire” requires a contract that is mutually agreed to. It’s not that these types of publication “require” work-for-hire, but that it is allowed with a mutually agreed upon contract. It’s not a requirement, it’s a norm. Is this not the case? Wouldn’t it be good for artists to push back on the theft of their intellectual property for pennies?
Would this still be used if the artwork was a "commercial sale"?
Very complicated.. As the laws changed, there seems a dispute especially between music artists and recording companies.
Fascinating!
Great advice!!
why doesn't John5 talk about this, was a session player-hired gun. This sounds kinda sounds like working as Independent Contractor.
Does this apply to artwork?

If you do the work for a company uf your hired by the company to do that artwork but if you do it for yourself it's not work for hire
wow the sirens at the end!......bad boy bad boy whatcha gonna do, whatcha gonna do when they come for u.......
She talking about masters?
Bam!
So hold on if they had kept that rule in that means any artist even independent who arent with a label wouldn't own anything they create am i right
Bad analogy. A single newspaper article does not generate millions of dollars of income. A single song can.
this is how i speak when i get high!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now she said it all, the Illuminatti are gonna chase her lol just kidding.
@wnieke Um, dude. The Beatles. c'mon. There are tons of songwriters who wrote their songs YEARS ago who are still making money off of their songs.
This lady acts like she doesn't want to be here.
