FINALLY something. I have been experiencing this and I literally thought I was going crazy 😭

Linda Schatz how much are the glasses? Are they more than your average pair for poor vision?

They tend to be a little more expensive maybe around 40$ per glass.

Great video. Not sure if this is my issue but I get slightly dizzy and at times nausea and headaches while driving at night or if I watch tv to long.

I have pain around/behind just one of my eyes and have just recently for the first time EVER have had sensations of dizziness where the room spins. Am I a candidate?

Holy cow, I wonder if this is what I have?! I hope my optometrist can check to see if I have it.

@@rblightchild Thanks. Actually no I haven't. I was waiting for my annual appointment cause my insurrance might not pay for it if I just make an appointment myself. So I waited and waited, finally I called them and to ask when is my next appointment cause it seemed like it was way over due and they said actually looks like I was due for one. *eye roll* So I've got one for July 6. I think they've been spacing their appointments out because of you know what. ugh.

Dear Dr. Cheryl, I am 30 years old. I have esophoria. I got my new glasses a week ago, but the lenses are misaligned, because there was a mistake with cutting the lenses, they ordered the new one, but gave me the glasses to wear them until getting the new one. Is prism effect is okay in this situation or can it be difference? Thank you for your answear! Eszter

The prism may be different if the lenses are cut wrong.

is this different than a astigmatism, that's the only thing dr been able to come up with, but been down the ENT, various DR rabbit hole and have come up empty. Just some weird imbalance that I can't seem to find the cause. Worse in big open spaces or if there is too much stimuli. Now it's getting worse when I'm trying to work in front of the computer.

Does anyone experience constantly expanding/retracting vision? I did the quiz on their website, but my symptoms don't match up perfectly. If anyone knows anything about this, please lkm!

What are the more severe symptoms? Can this cause seizures and involuntary head, arm, leg movements

You can cover one eye with an eye patch, that disrupts binocular vision and thus the eyes no longer have to correct the misalignment. Depending on how bad your symptoms are, it can give you a relief in a few minutes, hours or days. If your symptoms are really bad, it may be because your eyes are not used to relax anymore so it takes a few days to make them learn how to relax. But seeing with only one eye can also cause certain difficulties.

Can this cause after images and sensitivity to light?

I've done my research and I'm pretty sure this is what I have. My dad had it. I'm about to visit an ophthalmologist who is working with a beta program called Vivid Vision. I hope that my eye muscles can be trained to rest at normal gazes with enough training. I don't want to go back to glasses as I had lasiks performed a year ago. I want to fix the problem.

+The Neuro Visual Center of New York It's using virtual reality goggles to strengthen a less dominate eye by increasing the contrast in the weak eye and decreasing it in the other, and then playing games that use both eyes and your hands. but I don't know if my case will work. His name is James Blaha and he is doing incredible things with his company Vivid Vision. He's sent out his software to about 20 opthamologists around the country. I have an appointment next week with one of the trial testers to see what can be done in any case. I'm pretty sure I have incombiant exophoria with fusion loss in the up temporal gaze? anyway, I hope to no need prisms but I may need them. thanks for responding

Hello Dr. Cheryl, I have been dealing with pressure / tension like headaches top of my head, behind my eye and where neck meets skull. After multiple MRI and CT Scans read as normal (thankfully) I usually only find relief when I am laying down. Driving since to be when I feel worst. carlos guevara I am sorry. I misread your message... If you go to the Vision Specialist of Michigan website there is a list of all the Neuro Visual doctors in the country. You can find the doctor closest to you. There is no one in Indiana at this time.

Hi, I would love to ask a question about this that is no where to be seen on the internet. Can this develop from reading things on a smart phone lying down sideways? I do this every morning and night and recently my right eye feels like it’s struggling and things appear to shake (heatwaves) in the distance

That task just may be too difficult for your visual system.

I'm in a state that is NOT up with the times when it comes to medical care! I fit the criteria for this 100%...I've been suffering for years with this now! HOW do I get tested ? Cost? I'm desperate!

Try laying down on your back Wherever You Are this way you'll be in a horizontal position and could not have any vertical conditions

Yes it could very well be a problem with the way the two eyes are working together. This is common after a concussion.

What about no headaches although my condition has caused such panic disorder I take clonazepam which helps with muscle pain..help this has made me want to die. Can a person have it with out headaches..I have chronic body pain as well including back of neck but never had headackes in my life

Hi Jimmy, We are located in New York. We are all independent doctors who treat Vertical Heterophoria that are members of the Neuro Visual Medicine Society. Unfortunately there is not a doctor in MO. The examination is very extensive and is needed to make the diagnosis and treatment plan for each patient. Without a Neuro visual examination we can not even determine if this is your problem.

@@andrewwilliams1857 after few month I understand that visual dysfunction its only part of DPDR… because I can’t explain why I experience physical tiredness, problems with memory, tingling sensations in extremities, sleep disturbances and all of it without feeling anxiety…

Not all eye doctors test for this.

Hi Nick, you may have BVD. I can not say for certain without an exam. Yes a small difference in the height of the eyes can cause this.
