Love it, I've been telling people for a couple of years that I do vlogumentaries more than a pure vlog or documentaries. It's definitely the way forward instead of old school vlogs.

I will be traveling soon I want to do a Vlogumentary. About my 11 week experience as a touring emcee. There a few questions I have posted one in the comments about the editing software.

Jeven does an excellent job of packing useful information into his presentation and not wasting one minute of the time I am dedicating to learning what he is talking about. This is what allows me to find time to watch his next video. Thanks!

What I do is add a note in my phone that says KZread •Then I drop it here. •When I get an idea.

@@bunchofallsorts1083 The first video I made (which was too bad to upload lol), I'd point the camera at myself and just stare at it for like a minute or two before I was ready to record. These days, I'm like "vlog time!" and I just go. It's really just a matter of practice.

vlogumentary is going to be the new style of especially travel KZreadrs. Before I stumbled upon your video I was going to do that when I go to my trip to Italy this summer. I’m really glad I found your content to see how to do it and not waste my time when I go! Took the hard part out for me! Now I just gotta film it!

Jeven, love your channels, love the idea of adding story to videos to create connection but I can’t figure out how to do that for my channel that focuses on how to videos centered around home maintenance and DIY improvements. Any thoughts or ideas on how to incorporate story into that type of video?

I would guess that your theme should usually be "solving this problem" or "helping this person". My videos are heavily story-driven, so theme is basically how I tie together a story with an environment or an ambience. But your videos are probably way more straightforward, and there's nothing wrong with keeping the theme simple!

Look up beau miles for one example of story telling with DIY (and walking, and gardening, and a lot of other things!)

You can do it!

Very useful and insightful points and expositions with lots of detail on how to do it and why it's important. Starting with a theme in mind is a very good technique and definitely makes the entire piece, filming and all, more focused.

I have watched a lot of your videos, and I have a question that I believe you can answer, I have noticed in some of your videos, leets just talk about the alaska one, how can we as creators use photos, not our similar to the war war II images and or videos and not be stroked with a copyright issue and get the video in trouble with YoutTube? I have seen it in tons of videos, just curious, are folks skipping he monitized on videos with other peoples content or how does the work. I am trying to make my adventure videos better and as well as incorporate some of the history in them. Case and point, where I live there is two specific places with history that dates back to state hood as well as a place that is an abandoned WWII area, It is now considered a National Park so drone footage is out, and I don't find the crippling for the story telling side, just curious how you can work in Old Photos, Old Video clips etc, with out buying them on stock agencies sites? Tanks for any help, Dale

Stick to one language. English is a bigger audience but you're also a small fish in a big pond vs native language which might have less competition. Just depends on your goals and what you want to do with your channel.

@@purificationdetoxification7122 On iPhones and iPads you can use for example LumaFusion, a very powerful video editing software. I would say that typical educational KZread content can be edited on a smartphone.

Depends on if you think those people will come after you legally. In that case yes have them sign a release to be in your video

No its not. I think plenty of people still enjoy the traditional style of vlog. This is just taking that a step further and adding story into it
