What is the TRUTH about e-collars and dog training? Jamie Penrith of ARDO explains and demonstrates!

Үй жануарлары мен аңдар

The purpose of including an e-collar into your dog training where necessary and beneficial, is to be in FULL control when life trips you up - and it WILL trip you up.
Ignorance is not an excuse.
If YOU live in England (or Scotland) and believe that electronic collars have a place in helping protect animals from harm - however narrow a place you feel that might be - PLEASE do the following NOW.
It’s simple. All you need to do is send your name and address along with the word ‘letter’ to info@joinardo.com
That’s IT!!!
PLEASE - this is SO important for GENUINELY helping to protect dogs and other animals who escape control, whether leads or homes, dogs who simply get spooked and run off, ending up lost and in the countryside and in HUGE danger of attacking wildlife or farm animals and getting needlessly shot.
Thank you.
Jamie

Hi there, I’m currently training my ten month old lab - going brilliantly in many areas -the biggest thing I am so stressed about training OUT of him is lunging at other dogs on lead {playful not aggressive} or off lead if another dog is TOO near it takes me a few calls to get him back to me. He’s a beautiful dog though. Currently Slip lead training him and he responds well to a little pop/correction, but not as much as I want him to. Although he’s only young, I want to get it sorted ASAP and know I’m doing all I can and doing it the right way. The trainer I’m currently with is brilliant, helping alot, and has mentioned E-collar for the recall. I am not for it or against it as don’t know much, but your videos definitely give me more understanding. I just wondered if I do choose to use an ecollar on him with recall and lunging/over excited with other dogs, realistically how long will that have to be used for? And will it make him fearful/aggressive down the line of going near other dogs? {that’s my main concern}. Since you seem to be a trainer that knows much about this tool and speaks of it in a positive way, it would be great if you could respond, {perhaps explain what any negatives are also} just so I feel clear of the outcomes. Many thanks

I have a question. If I train my dog using this tool and I get it to listen to me this mean they will always have to use the tool ? Or if I take it out and I try the dog to listen to me they still will pay attention.?
