@@SathishKumar-yw1sv just because we criticise something on facts,doesnt mean we need to provide an alternative. spending 1lakh per acre for paddy which is in oversupply right now and even in best days it fetches 40k per acre,so its outright bad decision and lack of vision or a scheme for corruption

Everyone is jealous Telangana is a water rich state compared to the barren land it was before. Yes it was costly but it’s a futuristic project because Telangana has a water problem anyone like it or not, just because it had excess rain last 2 years doesn’t mean we don’t need it. Just ugly politics. Truth is trs has changed hyd to a global infrastructure example and at the same time check out the villages in Telangana, so many poor farmers have built new houses, some even g+1 houses and there are so many cars in villages now. Telangana is a much richer state as compared to before and congress and bjp can’t handle that a local party has done so well without the help of these powerful parties.

1lakh crore rupees+ electricity charges 6000 crores per annum Result is all lifted water released into godavari river... Entire Telangana economy sabotaged 😭😭😭

People talking foolishly here , Telangana is sitting high above sea level 500-600 ft , godavari flows at 60 ft above sea level also in west part of Telangana directly into ocean. The only option for our people to utilise the water is to lift and store the water, and it's not a single dam cost of 80k crores , it has multiple lifts , dams , check dams , drinking water , fisheries , irrigation, tunnels and also keeping godavari river live for almost 200 km , please go through ground water levels , irrigation of crops , drinking water supply, industrial purposes etc. Don't bad mouth without doing research. It my seem huge money , but it's not even 10 percent of corporate loans wafeoffs in this country.

So, have you heard of cost benefit ratio. Build as many lift irrigation projects as you like, build by taking experts into consideration. Foolish people take decisions, this is the end result.

@@JinSakai_Kuroudo solution-stop growing water intense crops and start other alternatives. It is not the peoples duty to find solution. Issue is not lift irrigation, issue is no quality control, and oversized design to favor the contractor. It has become a normal thing to quote low price during bidding and then escalate the price after getting the contract.

No viability and just a waste of tax payers money. In other words ATM

Despite the issues and challenges, Kaleshwaram is a great project. This should not be struggling between political agendas. One should not look at viability or cost benefit ratios at this stage with Kaleshwaram. Its yield and benefits should be looked over a long term. When Telangana is at its peak in all the aspects, this will stand as one of the pillar for Telangana’s success.

This is the reason our jagan anna doesn’t build anything jai jagan anna

Are the comparison costs of earlier and newer projects i.e. 40K and 80K Crores, inflation adjusted? It would be better to compare the inflation-adjusted costs to get a good understanding!

A bad name for one of the premier Construction companies. One should question L&T for agreeing to go ahead probably with a faulty design.

As per experts, Kaleshwaram project is not viable... Need to spend at least 60000/- per acre for electricity and Maintainance which is not at all viable... It is like one of the major Chinese projects like hambantota...

@@aamirahmed6189 dictator dont seek solutions. KCR and co funded AP elections using Telangana's kaleshwaram money. In return favor, Polavaram project is allotted to same contractor after winning the elections by AP govt. TV9 and few other channels owned by same contractor so u dont see this news there. Even RTC was about to be privatized by Telangana but stopped to favour the same contractor to buy olectra electric buses. Open your eyes. Chief ministers of Karnataka, Tamilnadu, UP are not showing the growth of banglore, chennai and Noida as success of their states as BRS is showing hyd success as Telangana success.

@@randommedia3441 Yes except Medigadda all other barrages,reservoirs etc are functioning and we are getting water for summer crop fromt that project

Kaleshwaram project may hurt Andhra so badly if the barrage break, and huge flood water reach polavaram project in 24 hours. So i request KCR ji, KTR ji, Harish ji, Kavitha ji to reconstruct the barrage immediately. As Andhra people supporting your party in assembly elections, you should heed us.

kaleswaram is a good project. Rather than simply transferring 50000 rs to each family, welfare measure like kaleswaram at least helped to increase ground water and agriculture output. A surplus state like Telangana should anyways deploy the excessive money somewhere I wish they also give new government jobs for the youth and bring back OPS in Telangana. Though I don't support old pension system, only a few states can afford it and one of them is Telangana. Also that is the best way to reward the employees who whole heartedly participated in seperate statehood agitation. But unfortunately neither congress nor TRS is promising OPS. Ironically in Andhra which does not have enough money, the government gave an electoral promise of NPS which is not feasible for them and hence back tracked

How is it good project? Numbers don’t add up at all. From what I was told it takes 50000 rupees to irrigate 1 acre of land using this project. And the farmer earns 20000 rupees from this 1 acre provided there is good price in the market. So at the end of day the government goes bankrupt. Am I missing anything ?

@@davidmarkel8142 Telangana state has good sources of revenue and the state has high per capita income. So it is not any where close to bankruptcy. The question is how to deploy the excess money. Rather than giving each family 50k free kaleswaram is a better option in spite of high costs since it at least achieves 2 goals 1) increased agricultural produce and 2) increased ground water. I am not totally against giving money to people. I feel that Telangana government still has lot more money even after spending on kaleswaram and I am asking government to spend that extra money on government employees by giving them "old pension" and give jobs to unemployed. 2 sections of society who were very active during Telangana agitation. Growth in private jobs does not mean anything because they are open for everyone in India and not meant only for Telangana people. Take taxes from these migrants and gives jobs to local youth

@@gouthamkondapavuluru1959 telangana has high per capita income because of consumption in hyd,and hyd has all ppl andhra,north ,tn doesnt mean ts ppl r actually flush with funds,go to a interior village and youll know,revenue for state is not much either ,see the facts,it takes 1lakh per acre conservative est to operate kaleswaram,max revenue for paddy is 40k per acre and rice is in oversupply now,you decide weather this was a visionary move

@@dineshkp96 The only thing is that Telangana was formed for water and employment and it should be given. If need be levy more taxes on Hyderabad people. I think you are still considering olden days like some 3 decades ago scenario. Telangana villages are no more under developed. Telangana villages are in par with Andhra and TN villages. From whatever I see in news, in Telangana 1 Acer land is 50 lakhs even in interior Villages(No other Indian state can make such claims). Do you think backward areas will have such prices Extra money from Hyderabad can make things like kaleswaram and govt jobs possible. I admit kaleswaram is a financial burden and even government jobs are financial burden if you just do calculations but the point is that Telangana can afford it. So why not spend Hyderabad money on all these. The whole point of getting Telangana is to make all this benefits possible to people. I think you are not from Telangana. My comments are in line with what Telangana people want. As long as Hyderabad grows rapidly where Hyderabad is prospering then these kind of benifits are the minimum that Telangana people want. What is the point in fast growth of newly formed state if common man can't get a pie of development and some easy money When states like Punjab which are in financial distress can spend money on so many free bees, why shouldn't high revenue generating state like Telangana do the same.

@@gouthamkondapavuluru1959 how do u tax hyd PPL,only thing state can levy is road,property and liquor tax...rest all is decided by center and don't think all income of hyd comes to ts,it goes to center...ts PPL will be better only if there is equality and equal distribution of wealth which is better in Andhra as compared to ts and u won't find 1axre for 50lakhs anywhere in Andhra,my frnd from east godavari sold 1 acre for 6crores btw

Seems these so called forum in line with the side so called lackie channels has got to finally focus on one of the deemed major issues in the state of south based on damage of the dam where in there were huge amount of the money wasted with possibilities of such disasters looming large , need to see if some lessons are taken for the other such projects in various other states or it will be fraught with risk speedy so called development of projects with out EIA and other necessary assessments before putting them in place!!

Topic of discussion is the failure of construction not the state economy. Why people are taking a dam failure so easily? if it would have happened in the peak of flood easily a 1 lac crore of public property would have lost and also the lifes, would have damaged Indias reputation at international level. Just watch the pain of central minister in parliament when Andhras dam damaged during flood.

Firstly this project is not 1 lakh crore. Its 80,000 crore project.
