Good job. Good contribution to Deen of Islam. This video is a good source of reference for us. Of course, I also appreciate the contributions done by our brothers like Paul Williams, Adnan, Mansur and others at Speakers Corner in Hyde Park in London.

Salam. Thank you for this. The Quran is the only book of Allah one should follow. Evidence is clear that hadiths are not needed since they provide conflicting information. Peace.

Well presented Joseph , you mentioned "...Mubeen.. " and you translate that as "clear" in English. I need to mention here the word "clarifying" as "showing" or "announcing" or "explaining" do you see the difference. Therefore, we can say about The Quran is a means to Knowledge, provided following the right guidelines. Thanks for the work you put into this.

Would it be possible for You to present a video On the subject of other/alternative 'forms or aspects of Revelation'? You have spoken about the 'earthly Quran', revealed to Muhammad. Could you present something on The 'Umm ul-kitaab' or 'The Preserved Tablet'? 2ndly, 'The Cosmos' as a Book of Revelation. 3rdly, 'The human being' as a Book of Revelation? or a 'Theomorphic Form' of Revelation'. And how these other 'forms' may all be interconnected and complementary to the Quran and (may or may not ) be mutually exclusive? Thankyou!

salam, as a person who have been raised in a relatively traditional muslim household, i have some questions: what is the real definition of the term "kitab"? when quran was actually 'recited' both from gabriel to our prophet and from our prophet to his contemporaries rather than "written" what is the quran said about other religious texts especially the post-quranic period; ie the hadith/sunna literatures, sirah(t) literatures, etc. (and also those that are not mentioned in the quran: like the yasnas/gathas of zoroastrianism, vedas of hinduism, buddist tripitaka, etc.)* regards the hadith and sunna, specifically; is it equal to the quran? is the quran allows the extension of its authority to other texts (the hadith and sunna) what is your opinion on muslims who said something along the line of: "if you abandon/reject hadith it means you abandon/reject the quran (and a word of god)"? lastly what is your opinion of quranist/quranite/ "ahlul-quran" (muslim who reject the hadith (as an authoritative religious text) and only use uphold the quran alone)? *additional question: do you consider a majority or some of religious figures pertains to the categories of nabi (or even rasul) that is not mentioned in the quran? thank you for you respond god bless

I would have watched the whole thing through if the closeness of the camera to your face had not been so annoying. Other then that, it was a very well done video information wise. I do realize that this is an older video and that the more recent videos are better quality production wise.

Dr.Lumbard, according to Walid Saleh- in his review of Gordon Nickel's book-the scholarly consensus-both traditional and academic- is that the Quran DOES view previous scriptures corrupted. Please shed some more light on this remark.

My main criticism of the liberal/moderate/secular/moderate/ wasathiyah/pluralist/ revisionist/progressive approach as well as the conservative/traditionalist/salaf approach and other approaches currently circulating is that all of these approaches only place the Qur'an alone as kalamullah/ayatullah. as if the product of kalamullah is only al quran, as if only the heavenly books. whereas there are many products of the nature of al kalam, including ayat tarikhiyyah (human history), ayat kauniyah (universe), and ayat insaniyah (human self). al quran itself recognizes the existence of these 3 types of ayatullah (besides itself, besides al quran itself). The end result of studying/interpreting/interpreting all the other products of Allah's word that have the status of ayatollahs (signs of Allah's power/guidance) have the same status as "dalil shara" as does the end result of studying the product of Allah's word called al quran. Furthermore, because all of them have the status of "dalil shara", all of the above ayatollahs also have the status of sources of Islamic law (mashadir ahkam). So the "dalil of shara" derived from the research of non-religious scientists (such as the laws of physics, the laws of biology, the laws of psychology, mathematical formulas, statistics, etc.) have the same status as "dalil shara", derived from the study of the kalamullah / ayatullah called al quran, because the "dalil shara" are also derived from the same products, namely the products of the implementation of the same attribute of God: kalamullah. Furthermore: thus the "dalil shara" can all naskh the laws of other ayatollahs because they are all products that have the same legal position / level (both ayatollahs). the origin of lex posteriori derogate lex anteriori also applies in the discussion of legal relations between "dalil shara" drawn from the 4 types of ayatollahs. wallahualam.

I like these lectures. Are we not a parallel universe system? The Torah, The Gospels and The Quran are the parallel lines towards the God the infinity, God the merciful; God the compassionate; God the love; and God the salvation.

Aslaamualaikum brother..... yadaihi in Arabic means “ between your two hands” that means confirming the same book which is in ur hand i.e Quran which ultimately confirms its only of one book Allah is talking about & revelation of Torah & injeel ... if u translate Torah in Arabic it’s the laws of the book v all hv to abide & injeel is the good news Allah has given to believers... which means Allah doesn’t talk Torah & injeel as books ... its predominantly thinking of man & consider Torah & injeel as books as customarily believed by all of us .... refer 3. 48 where Allah talks about Isa that he has been given knowledge of book, wisdom, Torah & injeel .... all being separate entities...... moreover refer 6. 83-89 ... Allah talks about all the prophets whom al kitab -the book is given with wisdom & prophethood.... here point to b noted that linguistically al kitab- the book is in singular form with all prophets...again in 39.69 Allah talks about on the day of judgement all prophets & witnesses will b brought & al kitab again in singular form & prophets in plural.... hence Allah talks about only one book not multiple books .... May Allah guide us to truth ... & the truth only comes from Allah only ... v all have assumed many things on the basis of assumptions but Quran dictates in clear text & grammar.... it’s a clear book
