I remember as a little boy getting Castle Greyskull playset for Christmas. My father being a imagigrant from Cuba and never really having a childhood like I did. He would build the playsets for me. He would carefully put all the stickers carefully in their right place and make look perfect. He would sit in his chair in the living room look at me play. I guess I was living out his childhood as well. I miss him and I continue the tradition with my son. That was one of his favorite stickers in the playset.

@Pop-Actor (Rick) I think one of the original box art designers had the same assumption, so he drew He-Man giving Skeletor the boot in exactly the way you describe. Of course this was a few years before the animated series tweaked brand concepts a bit and turned Castle Grayskull into He Man's base of operations, and the fortress that housed the source of his powers.

My guess is yes for small scale production, and no for large scale production. In other words, 3D printing is excellent for small shops and operations that make customs to sell, but still cost prohibitive to mass production. My guess is injection molding parts is much cheaper at large scale volumes (but much more expensive for small volumes.)

You really explore so much of the line and background and reply to so many comments, I really appreciate the dedication and passion you have for the I.P. and the fans. I've tried looking through some of your past videos to see if you might have already covered this topic, but was curious if there are really very many differences in the classics line between first releases, and the later reissues with packaging marked "the original"? I know that there are a few differences with some figures such as He-man's backward shoulders being corrected, or slight color variation, or improved joints on some figures, but was curious if overall there is really that much different throughout all of the various reissues that were marked "the original"?

This is one of those bits of lore that flew right by me as a kid. The price point of MOTU was such that I only ever got figures rather than vehicles and playsets. Awesome video, plain awesome. My neighbor would pretend the trapdoor led to a separate place, not the entryway. And that Skeletor was captured, but could speak to the creatures under the grate. In his mind, all the bad guys were drawn to Skeletor because a powerful evil lived under the castle. The Sorceress captured this evil centuries ago. This evil spawned the non-human creatures on Eternia. Until one day they would be reunited to overtake the castle and set them free. We would play, he was always He-Man, but in his mind, all of Eternias bad guys were all once human, then the cartoon became popular. He didn't care. His monsters were scarier. And not idiots. Lol. But his entire play pattern evolved from the unknowns under the grate. And the mini comics.

Yup, "Lovecraftian" is indeed a word. It means "pertaining to an amazing and richly expansive cosmic horror idea, but written so ponderously and mechanically that you'd think a robot programmed by Jane Austen wrote it." 😉 And I would've happily paid a full figure's cost to get a 3D MOTUC dungeon grate as an add-on! Which, come to think of it, I now have done, along with a fully-articulated "Suit of Armour". Thanks, BBTS!

@@spectorcreative1872 Well, I once bought a Lovecrfaft compendium, because I'd heard people (including some of my friends) rave about him, looking forward to the backstories behind these amazing and inventive horror characters . . . . . . . And the guy's writing puts me to sleep. His characters talk to each other like Victorians wrote letters to each other. And his stories are so formulaic, they read like Scooby-Doo episodes. They're almost always about an ostensibly bright, educated individual who's travelling through a rural or abandoned area, and he's heard warnings from the locals "Don't go near there!" But he does. And then horrible things happen. Funnily enough, the best Lovecraftian horror I've read comes from the Stephen King short story "Jerusalem's Lot," a short story featuring Jeeves & Wooster in "The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen: The Black Dossier," called "What Ho, Gods of the Abyss!" and Roger Zelazny's novel, "A Night in the Lonesome October." As for Jane Austen's robot -- a gentleman android dubbed "Mister Sparkswilliam D'Arcy" -- it only existed as a functioning automaton for a few hours, before she tried training it to keep women company at tea. It was able to converse, albeit in a stilted manner, but the probelm came when it came to simulating other English mannerisms. She hadn't properly waterproofed the innards, and a cup of hot Darjeeling caused the mechanical innards to seize up and shatter, destroying the robot beyond repair.

Though the He-Man Power Sword has changed with each series. And so I guess it would depend on defining how that works? I think the most recognizable fantasy sword is the Lightsaber. As with all the Star Wars movies, we've seen it many times. Whereas, the He-Man sword is really only known from the 80's cartoon since all the He-Man stuff since has failed.

I personally thought Mattel missed an Opportunity. Mattel should have offered add ons. Remco's Doom Fortress and Eoco's Monste Castle (just reall a wall) made decent compain pieces. They never matched up well and were not official. Doom Fortress may have been all card board stoarage was not a problem. Toy companies missed out on offering cheap companion playsets. Card board add on dongeons, towers and laborenths would have substantially increased play patterns.
