What is the meaning of 2 Chronicles

What does 2 Chronicles 7:14 mean in context? Taking II Chronicles 7:14 out of context is far too common. Understanding 2 Chronicles 7:14 and the healing for the nation that some preach claiming 2 Chronicles 7:14, these things can only be done understanding and studying 2 Chronicles 7:14 in context. In this video, Pastor Nelson with Bible Munch answers the question, “What is the meaning of 2 Chronicles 7:14?”.

Today was the first time God clearly spoke to me. I woke up with this verse on my phone and I felt shock and fear but at the same time an overwhelming joy because I felt the true power and righteousness of God, he is very real and when I woke up from my dream it was very clear that there were things still holding me back, but I look at it as a lesson to learn and grow from. I am no where near perfect and that was hard for me to accept because my pride and ego wouldn't let me, but I have to stop being stubborn and accept that I'm not perfect, Jesus is the only one who is amazing and perfect and he died for our sins so that we will be saved one day. We need to accept him with everything our body, heart, and soul. Thank you God for speaking so clearly to me, it was a huge wake up call and I know your true Glory now ❤️🙏🏻

Second Chronicles 7:14: ‘Seeking God’s Face’ means to approach him in prayer, confess your wrong, and beg for forgiveness. This may not be easy to do, but you will no doubt feel greatly relieved for having done so.

"If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land"-2 Chronicles 7:14 This bible scripture is self explanatory. It means exactly what it says!

Thanks for this, y'all! Misinterpreting Scripture is so dangerous because it's just so EASY. Most of the time it's simply an accident, not the result of some purposeful lie, so I need to be actively careful. I appreciate the reminder!

That is why we pray and need the Holy Spirit to guide us least we just take what we like to hear instead of what God wants us to hear.

Context! VERY important! Pointing out the surrounding scriptures gives an even greater understanding of the God we serve and what He accomplished by sending His Son. Who presents us with a BETTER covenant. The “My people “ as the scripture described, failed at this request. As they did in Deuteronomy 28. As we do today. Yet, while we were still sinners, Christ died for the ungodly! Romans 5. Today, we are to turn our hearts toward God through Christ! Who came to save us from our sins! “The law was our schoolmaster” to teach us that we need a savior. A go between us and God the Father. Between God’s law and our inability to perform His law. That’s why Jesus came in the first place. It’s astonishing the way God planned the way of salvation. Our failure magnifies His grace through the death of His only begotten Son. Who gives us what was yet to be given in the book of chronicles. The Holy Spirit! To live within us. Who knows the mind of God! God’s word is deep and complexed. Yet it’s instructions to us are simple. It’s revealed over time in layers. By the Holy Spirit. Who Christ has left us with. And it all goes back to the consequences of Adam’s sin in the book of Genesis.

This is one of my favorite verses in scripture. It seems I have been reading this verse out of context because I understood that God was speaking to His people irrespective of where they were from.

Thank you for pointing that out, the covenant which is not made with America. Does not mean that we can’t as a nation seek God. But it’s not as the covenant that was made with Israel.

If we have to interpret scripture like this, this means Christians should not read Old Testament as it was written to Israel. Also most parts of Ne Testament. In fact Chdistians should limit themselves to Apostle Paul

America has a covenant with God. Not like Israel but a unique covenant and i say this scripture is very much applicable to America. The church has asleep and complacent and evil has been running rampant for decades. America's only solution is repentance and turning to Jesus to uproot all the evil in our land.
