    The aesthetic invented in Tron Legacy was hugely influencial to many artists and filmakers, even if they didn't realise it. I personally really enjoy Legacy.

    I think overall for me it was everything as depth within the film, and today's graphical systems allow film-makers to do so much more. Yes they were a few little should we say nuances which some will have like and some won't but you can't win them all!

    Grid needs to be expanded more upon. The club scene with the emcee guy was just wicked. I just try quoting that line he says, but keep forgetting it. :-) I sometimes listen to derezzed while riding my motorcycle, daft move(pun intended) I know, but it's so much fun.

    Most of all, I enjoyed the aesthetics and the sound design/music of Tron legacy. It is a wonderful take on how to portray the "digital frontier". I also really like the concept of the "sea of simulation" and the "outlands". I always thought they suggested that the grid was more than just the digital world of singular system trapped in hardware, but more like an "inhabited island" amidst the vast wasteland of unused digital space beyond the system that was built.

  • @MrHReviews

    @MrHReviews

    7 жыл бұрын

    +MrMartechi precisely my thinking! It seems vast but uninhabited, yet there seems to be this space there so potentially more to the grid then meets the eye

    I would have loved to see the more of the ISOs or other "creatures" that are not man-made, but native to the Grid. In Dan Simmon's Hyperion books, there's this fascinating idea that AIs created by humans ventured into a sort of "cosmic cyberspace" and found other things there, entities from beyond that are only ever hinted at as distant, god-like beings. Something like that could have added a whole new level to the Grid and would have probably opened up opportunities for more interesting storylines than the typical "villainous villain that wants to conquer the world".

    @Dope Stuff ENGLISH Hey guys! Okay, so I haven't completed the story unfortunately as I have a lot of work from college piling up and I have exams to prep up for ;-;, also I decided to make some alterations to the story, I decided it may be a better idea for it to take place after Legacy rather than Uprising, because I already have another idea in mind for another Fan Made TRON story that leads up to Uprising, but it'll be short however as it focuses only on the Occupation's rise to power and how they took over cities across the Grid, it's called TRON:Retribution. I have however, started working on Concept art for the Story, so far I have done one OC, and I'm working on the Environments. I'm trying to gather people who could help me out with the story as it is difficult to do by myself due to college workload and stuff. If you guys are interested, would you like to help out? If so you can hook me up at Discord if you guys have an account! My name is TheFierceLombax and my tag is #9827. It'll be great to get all the help I need :3

    I watched the movie just a couple of minutes ago again. I love the clothes that everyone is wearing and overall those lights that go through everything. I really like your videos and how you make them with the pictures and stuff but the whole video would be even more interesting with a little bit of music in the background. For example the songs from Duft Punk (or any other electronic music) would fit in really good because they made the soundtrack of the movie :)

    Tron would actually be considered as a planet. Tron Actually has way more cities then what we see in the movie. So them cities not being there is not canon. Agartha is a planet that lies within the Earth and the contanate of Oz would be counted as a planet and the contanate of Narnia would be counted as a planet too.

    Gonna have to disagree. There is a diagram of The Grid on a wall in Kevin's office under the arcade. The printout isn't that big, and considering The Grid isn't connected to cyberspace, it is quite small and finite compared to the ENCOM system.

    The Programs, the I-SO's and the others are made from Bio-digital DNA jas! We know that it is possible to be underezed. Sorry, I don't know how to spell it right. What happened to the I-SO's that were brought back to life? Did they go underground? Did they join the Rebels?

    Most of the ISOs were massacred; Quorra survived by going underground and living with Kevin Flynn, and some of the others like Zuse/Castor, hid their identity.

    "Tron The rise of Clu" should have been a movie iIMO. I would have liked to see all that backstory with the purge of the ISO's. You get some of it in Tron: Uprising but I think there's still a lot to be explored and explained.

  • @kilrasha77

    I really wish they'd go back to the Encom grid. The Encom grid in the 80's was a natural system that Kevin Flynn got digitized into and was run by the M.C.P. Kevin Flynn created the "new" grid we see in Tron Legacy with the help of C.L.U. and Tron. I also want to know if Dillinger Sr. has any influence over Dillinger Jr. Did Dillinger have anything to do with C.L.U.'s coup? I have a feeling that Disney will go back to the Tron Universe after the Marvel Infinity War resolves. I believe they stated as much and said after picking up Star Wars, they were just too busy. Time will tell.

  • @chj2

    @chj2

    3 жыл бұрын

    I doubt Dillinger had anything to do with CLU 2.0's coup. Why? Because Kevin's private server/The Grid, wasn't connected to cyberspace, nor was it connected to The ENCOM Server. Plus, I'm sure Dillinger probably was in jail for awhile after what happened in TRON '82.

    The Shiva Laser (as explained in interviews, and in the first movie), when it scans you, takes your molecules (suspending them inside the laser beam) and stores them (as Carbon molecules) in the bottom of the laser while you're inside the private server known as The Grid. It converts those molecules into digital code which creates your virtual world counterpart. The laser has to be operated or (in the case of Sam Flynn), tripped by a USER. To return back to the real world, the USER must reach The Portal and once in, the User is rejoined with his or her carbon molecules and the USER exits The Grid, reformed as their Human Self. All the other beings on The Grid are PROGRAMS, and there are 2 types: 1)Basics-Who were written by 1 USER, or most likely by an algorithm Kevin Flynn wrote (i.e., CLU 2.0, and the like), and 2)ISOs who weren't written; They manifested out of the Sea of Simulation. SOURCE: Tron Wiki, The 1st Tron movie, and many others.

    I enjoyed the sequel but I had a few problems with it. The world itself is too perfect. Everyone is gorgeous, everything is clean. You're telling me some bloatware didn't make it into the system? It needed a Pearl (fat grotesque from Blade) named Norton. A BSOD and HUMOR. The original isn't a comedy but it had a lot more humor interwoven along with some classic one liners. I actually thought the real world in the first act would have been a far more interesting world to explore.

    Just Johnny that's what makes the movie amazing, is that everybody's perfect, the grid is perfect, and the movie also creates a very cyber futuristic twist to it that makes it a visually appealing and unique movie unlike no other, no one wants to see ugly things and people in the cyber world that would not make it the great movie that it is, in the film they literally describe the grid as a digital frontier for perfection

    I'm going to watch this movie once more, i disliked it when i seen it at the cinema, outside of looking good the story was so Disney, boy loses dad, boy finds dad, boy find love, boy has to risk all for love, boy save girl rides off in to sunset, roll end credits, gag:) i figured that Tron Legacy was so bad because it was made not long after the Writers Guild of America strike ended, a heap of tv and movies around that time were mostly trash, imo it wasn't until 2012 when they started putting consistently well written stuff out and recovered creatively.

  • @DocWolph
    @DocWolph7 жыл бұрын

    "TRON: Legacy" has the same problem the first on did, weak story. For TRON to go forward as a good series, the movie needs to have better stories. The "fight for freedom" is a little hackneyed especially when it is framed as the usual fight of good versus evil. What is worse Legacy presented LOADS (pardon the pun) of back story, the ISOS, the ISO Genocide, CLU's ascension to power, TRON's fall, The evolution of the Gird and Electronic World, and more. I think the animated series, "TRON: Uprising" tried to cover some of it but did it in a very SATAM way that does not satisfy the stories aesthetics. While I love Reboot TO DEATH, "TRON: Legacy" and "Uprising" both felt like darker less humorous and intrinsically cool versions of Reboot. TRON seemed poised to point toward a new realm of fantasy and adventure, with real themes, that could become a thing. TRON would be the "Star Trek" to Reboot's "Star Wars", being fantastical but more technically correct. But this did not happen. And this has to do with the fixation on the original story line, "the fight for freedom". With all the story elements introduced in Legacy, you could easily do a post-war setting, where the ISOs gave almost as good as it got until CLU cracked down like the Galactic Empire of computer systems. Since Disney OWNS TRON, they could fold TRON into MARVEL and let them play with it. How do programs cope with a world of absolutely godlike supercomputers, Monstrous computer programs, Users behaving very badly, and so on. All while developing the TRON characters and Electronic World (That is that universe's real name), from the combined prospective of TRON's ending and Tron:Legacy's overall design aesthetic and setting, into something with some real substance and stories.
