Hi everyone!
In this video I am joined by James Lambert, a PhD student working at McMaster University. In this video James explores the difference between classical and quantum correlations.
In this video James introduces the quantum Fisher information, which provides us with a powerful tool to investigate entanglement in many-body systems.

huh... interesting work by james on "how entangled can systems be", i think i'll look into this topic later... a lot of new things

I think there is more than one Markus Mueller in this area, i worked with Markus P. Mueller in my undergrad / a portion of my msc. I wish you luck!

that partitioning of a large system into entangled subsystems.... i wonder what changes to observables can we see when the system goes from wholly entangled overall to individual subsystems not entangled at all

but how can we set up (prepare) a many-body system as a pure state? hmmm

One simple way is to cool a system down to the ground state :). The ultra cold atom community seems to have this process down quite well.
