What is the Cornish Language? (Languages of Britain)

Important Information:
This video seems to have gained popularity outside my usual audience of English learners, so let me address some things here. First of all, this video is targeted mainly at people from outside of the UK learning English, so here are some answers to some common questions:
"Cornwall isn't really a county"
Although the status of Cornwall as a county has been questioned, there are many reliable sources that confirm it is in fact a county. It is administered as a county of England and does not have a separate government (and remember, for the purposes of introducing Cornwall to a global audience, this is a bit pedantic to get into.)
"Cornwall is not part of England)
I've lived in Cornwall my whole life and everyone I know considers themselves to be English as well as Cornish (although maybe people will claim to be Cornish before English). That's not to say there aren't exceptions to this though. The question of whether Cornish people are English is complex and the argument that we're not is valid, but again, it's too much to get into for this introductory video, which is intended for a global audience.
Did you know there are many languages native to Britain, even existing before English and some still today? To learn more about this, we have to take a quick look back at the history.
