At first I was mad Froot Loops were rated so low but then I realized it's probably not normal for humans to enjoy the smell and flavor of floor cleaner.

My grandfather actually helped create Cinnamon Toast Crunch! He was a food chemist (which I don’t even know if that job exists anymore) and he was tasked with getting the cinnamon to stick on the grain. He’s under an NDA until he dies on how he did it lol

To be fair, while adults may eat these on occasion, it's kids that typically the customer. There are adult cereals that have significantly less sugar. But most of these were my childhood breakfast and I still love to eat these on occasion, especially as a topping to ice cream or in a milkshake.

Something weird I realised while reading labels the other day. Fruit Loops contains less sugar than most "adult cereals that have significantly less sugar". I was really confused. Don't know if that's true, or Fruit Loops uses some kind of loophole to reduce the number on the label.
@roymarshall_

@@wavenp I once walked down the grocery aisle and calculated calorie density for every cereal I could see. Fruit loops was at the bottom. Not by a ton, but they are slightly lower calorie per gram than most other cereals. I do think the whole idea that "adult cereals" are in any way healthier is just marketing. Everything about cereal is marketing. Cereal is simply not good for you. Its empty/high glycemic index carbs, whether from the wheat flour or from the sugar.
@Homer-OJ-Simpson
Жыл бұрын
@@wavenp You have to look at sugar per calories to really get an understanding. Many adult cereals have larger serving sizes so have more calories on the label including sugar. Fruit Loops appears to have 12g of sugar for 150 calorie serving. I looked up a random cereal and it was Special K Protein. That has 9g of sugar but 220 calorie portion. So fruit loops is 12.5 calories to 1g of sugar ratio and Special K Protein has 24.4 calories to each 1g of sugar so Fruit loops has twice the sugar for each calorie. I tend to choose my cereals by looking at which have the highest protein + fiber for each calorie (or lowest calorie for each protein+fiber). Since all calories are fat, protein and carbs and the carbs are broken down into fiber (good), sugar (bad) and regular carbs (bad but not as bad sugar). Cereals usually have minimal fat so the more that is coming from protein and fiber, the less that is coming from sugar and non-fiber carbs. Protein & fiber are not only healthy but also make you feel full. Using those two cereals, Special K Protein has 21g fiber+protein per 220 calories and fruitloops has 4g fiber+protein per 150calories. Special K Protein has 10.5 calories for each fiber+protein and fruit loops has whooping 37.5 calories per fiber+protein, 3.5x the number of calories for each fiber+protein.

I know this is not on the topic of cereal but so far I’ve made around 7-8 of the recipes from your cookbook (it arrived about a week ago) and they are UNREAL, so easy and all of them absolutely delicious, especially the shakshouka 🙏🏻🙏🏻 so happy I bought the cookbook and thanks for the great content on your channel!
As a Turkish, I was so amazed by how many varieties you guys can get. We only have like 2-3 kinds of cereal with just different fruit varieties 🥲
Try Captain Crunch Berries to really blow your mind! The Frosted Mini Wheats are probably my favorite from this list, but I even prefer the plain version. They transition from start to finish as they get soggier. You probably would like Grape Nuts, try those.
This man may not be pregnant but he always deliveres
You nailed the rankings! Maybe you will do a round two with Raisin Bran, Grape Nuts, All Bran, and…my favorite Crackling Oat Bran💕💕💕

You freaking love Squarespace, and I freaking love this video - please keep doing these type of trying stuff videos, they’re hecking epic!
My fav cereal is Corn Pops (the Canadian/French version, not the American one). It's super simple and not too sweet. Like a lighter version of Cap'n Crunch. It's also a great snack, dry, straight from the box. My brother's favourite is Shredded Wheat - the giant ones - with Orange Juice... I can't account for his tastes.
I hope you do another Rating American Cereals in the future, because there are so many you didn’t have. Not only just in name but variety. Like, you had the Cap’n Crunch but the Cap’n Crunch Crunch Berries hits different. So some recommendations: Cap’n Crunch Crunch Berries Multigrain Cheerio’s Chex (at least Corn, Rice and Wheat) Cookie Crisps Cocoa Pebbles Crispix Corn Pops Cracklin’ Oat Bran Fruity Pebbles Grape Nuts Honey Bunches of Oats with Almonds Honeycomb Honey Graham Os Honey Smacks Kix Krave (I find this disgusting by my kids love it) Oatmeal Squares Pumpkin Seed + Flax Granola (by Nature’s Path, I was addicting to this for awhile) Raisin Bran

Id say cut that list down to Crunch Berries, Cookie Crisps, Grape Nuts, HoneyComb, and Raisin Bran. the rest arent that different from what he already had.
As an American it was so much fun to watch you try our cereals. We definitely love our sugar.
I like how the Reece's Puffs box hit him in the face, and then I saw the word ambush printed along the top 🤣
Based on your top choices, you may also like Honey Smacks, the one with the Frog mascot.
I've been giving my girl an Aldi knock-off of Reese's Puffs for like the past year and couldn't work out what was based off, thanks Kwook!
I'm so happy for you! How exciting would it be to go back in time and try cereal for the first time again!
You should definitely try flips from Venezuela, we usually don't eat it with milk but it's amazing. I love the chocolate one
Apple cinnamon cheerios is better than apple jacks for that flavor, also missed out on Capt crunch peanut butter, it's so much better than the Reese's. I love packing some dry shredded wheat to munch on if I needa go fast.
I just made myself cereal, and this video popped up. Perfect timing!
I mostly agree with your ratings, so I'd be curious to see how you like Golden Grahams. It's my favorite after CTC

I was scared about the cinnamon toast crunch but seeing your reaction to it and Reese's puffs was great, because cocoa puffs, cinnamon toast and reese's puffs ate my top 3.
Missed some very American cereals: Grape-Nuts, Wheaties, Raisin Bran, Trix, Original Cheerios, Wheat Chex, Honeycomb, Honey Smacks, Cocoa Crispies, Fruity Pebbles, Honey Bunches of Oats.
I’ll take a 7.6 on Quaker life, absolutely one of the top picks for cereal. If you ever get the chance, try rice krispies with cacao nibs and toasted coconut, absolutely do it, it’s insanely delicious
You have excellent taste. Cinnamon Toast Crunch is my fav, followed by mini wheats. If you like apple cinnamon, I highly recommend a Canadian cereal Tim Hortons Apple Fritter. Sooo good!! Crunchy and apple cinnamony.
My favorites are CHOCOLATE LUCKY CHARMS & I ADD DRIED BLUEBERRIES TO MY FROSTED FLAKES. FROSTED MINI WHEATS (they have lots of different flavors), U should see how BIG the regular SHREDDED WHEATS are . ALSO I ADD ONE BIG ICE CUBE TO ALL MY CREALS TO KEEP MY MILK REALLY COLD.

My two faves are frosted mini wheats and capn crunch. Fite me
please do more videos like this!
Omf that's so awesome that Kwoowk is a mythical beast 🤩
Cinnamon goat crunch and Reese’s will forever be the best
I grew up with weird combinations made by my immigrant dad. My favorite was Grape Nuts, rolled oats, and corn flakes, sprinkled with roasted peanuts, and then topped with good chocolate milk. We also used to eat a lot of Kix cereal (don't know if they still make that). I also loved full sized Shredded Wheat biscuits (again, with full fat chocolate milk), and Wheatabix biscuits. My mom liked Special K, the one with three strawberry flakes.
Frosted Mini Wheats are delicious! You gotta let them soak a little.

wow this video was amazing
Ps you also need to do fruity and cocoa pebbles, chex, ...golden grams, honey bunches of oats, etc.
You must try the original to mini wheats. When I was a little kid it was our only choice of box cereal. It was simply shredded wheat, and came as a biscuit the size of the cereal bowl. Mother allowed no more than one spoon of sugar to sweeten it.
Life and Honey Nut Cheerios are my favorites. I do love Frosted Mini Wheats, but I never eat them just because of the sheer amount of sugar.
I love Honey Bunches of Oats. Love love love them for any meal, any time, with or without milk.
cereal tasting ?! my dream day :O)
In my opinion? my favorite cereal as a child was warm Cream O' Wheat with raisins, a little sugar and milk. This makes me happy..
French toast crunch in warm milk is the best
I LOVE Frosted Mini Wheats (that being said, I have not had them for some time).
The way you described how how your gf eats cereal litteral made me shed a tear from how horrific it was.
If you don't have them in Europe you must try cocoa pebbles or fruity pebbles (though the fruity ones might have a similar chemical taste to Froot Loops)
The edit on this video is top notch .
This Video was a very fun video
Those cereals are fire 🔥
Some of these cereals are also in the UK as proper cereals (not like how you can get lucky charms in one specific shop) like cheerios and rice krisipies are in every shop.

Plain cheerios are actually not unhealthy. You can add them to your diet without concern. I used to add them to my oatmeals for some crunch.
Day one of asking you to make something form Bangladesh My preference - Pati shapta pitha (A type of burrito with sweet filling, this is the best I can explain it)
Pretty solid ranking although I can't stand the milk that's left after miniwheaties. It's weird because it's not much different from raisin bran which I love. You could easily do a part two by the way, so many options to make your head spin.
