What Is Targeted Therapy For Lung Cancer? | Lung Foundation Australia

Targeted therapies for lung cancer are drugs that target specific mutations within cancer cells. You will need to have molecular testing done on your lung cancer to know if you’re a particular targeted therapy could be right for you.
The most common “targets” in non-small cell lung cancer are gene changes in EGFR, ALK and ROS1.
It is important that you speak to your oncologist or healthcare provider to understand what lung cancer treatment options are most appropriate for you. You can also book a free telephone appointment with our Lung Foundation Australia Lung Cancer Support Nurse.
