If you have 5.05 keep it. You don't need a usb hack. On 9.00 the usb is mandatory. There are some usb dongles actually on chinese websites that claim to jailbreak the 9.00 as easy as it was with 5.05 but they take up one usb slot for nothing. You have options. I can't decide for you.

I would like to know that as well. At first I thought it was my eject button on my phat acting up again, it had dust clogged up before as well as some rust, and a cleaning fixed it, but then I hear the 3 beeps whenever I switch to WiFi or ETH when doing FTP, while other users report it beeps at random. It's likely we all have dirty consoles but we can't discard the possibility of some clash in the exploit causing this.

Try cleaning your cache an deleting your web browser history then close web browser an open again, you have to do this every now an then or that will keep happening then open web browser an open what ever exploit page you use an cache is again

Rule of thumb is keep it at the lowest possible firmware for as long as you can

You're actually at the sweetspot! Do one more fw upgrade to 5.05 fot most stable exploit (but less game compatibility) or 9.00 with less stable exploit (but high game compatibility)

eventually, it’s not easy lmao, i remember when 5.05 came out people had to wait a while for newer fw to be jailbroken, they have to find exploits and ways to use those exploits

You can stay on 5.05 for a really stable exploit but go to 9.00 if you wanna play MOST (not all) games without needing backports

Cause You probanly didn't install the update, just know you can't play new game on version 1.00, you need the patch to run it , just install the update where you installed the game
