📈 The Complete Finance & Valuation Course: www.careerprinciples.com/cour...
In this "private equity industry overview and career options" video we'll go over all of these and many more questions. Starting off with a definition of private equity, we'll then explain the risk level of private equity and where it fits in the types of asset classes. Then, we'll look at how much of a liquid investment it is on a liquidity scale ranging from real estate to shares in Apple.
In part 2, we'll look at how private equity funds make money using the 2% management fee and 20% performance fee structure. In part 3 we'll go over the different investment strategies ranging from venture capital, to growth equity, to leverage buyouts.
Lastly, we'll go over the career options in private equity from the work life balance, to the skills required, to the expected compensation (salary) in the industry.

Got 1.9 years left on my financial management degree. Then I’m going to Italy (top 5 colleges for masters in finances) content idea is maybe talk about the school you went to and some of the top colleges for finances. Obviously certifications help as well.

Hey Kenji, I am currently a freshman studying Finance and Accounting and was just wondering what you thought would be the best possible summer job/internship for me to maybe land a summer analyst job during my sophomore year summer. I know it can be hard to land an analyst internship in only your second year but any advice would help. Thank you!

Hey it’s always difficult to land internships in your first summer so I wouldn’t get too picky but I’d recommend a finance-related job and/or a client facing one. Also you can start focusing on networking for your second summer

80 hours a week? Doesn't make sense? That would mean you work 12H+ 6 days a week? Is that true?
