Can you show how to calculate PPDA using actual data?

If the pressure intensity of the defending team is high, the score of the defensive action increases and the pass score of the attacking team decreases as much as the pressure is applied. And as a result, the higher the pressure on my team, the lower the PPDA score of my team. Did I understand well?

Yes! So as a result of a higher intensity press you would expect more defensive actions to take place! So if your team is pressing (defending) with a high intensity. You should have a higher defensive action value. The team playing out from the back (attacking) will have lower total passes. So high press - low PPDA!

@@CoachReese Thank u for the great explanation reese! I have a one more question! You said PPDA is short for 'passes per defensive action.' But someone else said PPDA is an abbreviation for 'passes allowed per defensive action.' Which expression is correct? Are they both saying the same thing after all?
