It has been celebrated in Iran for over two thousand years by all the people regardless of ethnicity, religion, or language. It’s non-ethnic, non-religious characteristic is the precise reason for the fact that it is still prominent outside the political boundaries of modern Iran and is celebrated by people of Central Asia, Caucasus, and many other places in West Asia. It has also been adopted as the official New Year feast of the Baha’i faith, due to their roots in Iran.

it's actually part of Zoroastrian celebration of beginning of spring, which an accurately measured exact min and sec that spring starts,, that's why ARABS don't like it, because although they defeated the Persian and Iranian, years ago they could not take culture and language away from us, unlike most other originally non ARAB Muslim countries like EGYPT,IRAQ,SYRIA, or IRAQ and most of AFRICAN countries, most of these countries like Iran had cultures lot older than ISLAM or ARABS now they are trying to push themselves in to Nowruz, since they couldn't defeat it if it's been celebrated over 3000 years, and Islam is only 1400 years, there you got your answer it's not religious celebration, but it's definitely cultural ,the root actually goes beyond Zoroastrianism

Unfortunately, Nauroz is a cultural heritage but religious biases have it rendered it controversial. It is neither Shia nor Sunni. It is a cultural event since Zoroastrian days. Pl don't make it everything religious.

This scholarly Imam refuses to declare the true origin of Nowrooze, its ethnic origin and a purely Aryan and Iranian subject. Nowrooze is a day when nature wakes up from its wintry slumber in the Indo-Iranian plateau. The birds and the bees come out to play and multiply with zeal. So do the human beings enjoy Nature's gift of ending the cold and dreary time of the year. The only difference is that the Zoroastrians drink, and sadly in Islam it is prohibited. There is nothing wrong in abstaining from strong liquor, but the fact stands that the same people do not advise against smoking, and drug taking, which is equally harmful to good health. It is a human beings choice to favour one or the other, if you choose to live dangerously then do so, and nobody can stop you. My good wishes of good health and happiness to all human beings, on this auspicious day.

Hazrat ALI to insaan hain,khuda nahi..ALLAH ese shirk k alfaaz na nikalwaiy..i hope k bhai ka matlab wo nahi jo bazaahir words se nazar araha hai... Hazrat Ali(A.S) akhirat main jab ham se poochain aiy insaan mujhse q maanga,Allah se q nahi mangtay...kitni ajeeb baat hogi...

@@zehrahadi7835 i always thought k Allah se hi mangna chahye..actually so i was told,although i used to pray with reference of MUHAMMAD pbuh..i didn't know k ALLAH jaldi nahi deta, agar ahle bait ko waseela bana kr mangain to hi jaldi milta hai.. i will never ask God anything directly again..he is lazy... mola ali ya mola hussain main se kis ka waseela quick delivery krta hai????
