Why doesn't DC reprint any of these classics anymore? Stuff like this, Venom, Gothic, Faces and Shaman are so hard to track down and so damn good. I can guarantee more people will buy it then the 592nd reprint of Hush or something.

Exactly. Stories like these as well as Night Cries and The Cult. People WILL buy those. I want to see those instead of the current run (I loved Grant Morrison and Scott Snyder’s runs, then stopped following after that) Reprint those and give me stories with that same tone and artwork and I’ll start buying them again.

Incredibly depressing and beautifully drawn and the simplicity of how Batman is executed is really fun, I love the tales of the dark knight, this was great, you guys did a great job too!!!

I absolutely love the art of this batman , it's not everyday you see Batman drawn with average proportions as oppose to the extremely muscular bound dark night that we're use to seeing and colors really give it that psychedelic style over all a great video and I would love to see you cover an indie comic called love and rockets there's an issue called the death of speedy, I think would make an interesting video

You know, if you play it that Bruce learned something here with the Bat Squad and applied it to The Outsiders, it really works.

I can see why so many people say this is the best Freeze story from the comics, beautifully tragic and sympethetic at the same time. Plus it includes some aspects of my favourite version of Freeze from The Batman show with him having somewhat actual ice powers. Personally I´d have to disagree with the idea of Freeze being Batman´s first supervillain though. If you look at all the Batman villains there´s a sort of generational or phase thing going on, super powered individuals and Arkham inmates should only be introduced after Batman has already faced more down to earth or supernatural villains, like Hugo Strange or the Monk for excample (good stories by Matt Wagner btw, highly recommend if you want retellings of some of the first Batman stories), that´s why I kinda like zero year from the New 52 for actually including Batman´s first villain Dr. Death before having any of the more mainline rouges (choosing to ignore the fact that he works for Riddler in that story plus the fact that he was basically superpowered in that one which he usually isn´t but ey at least they remembered he excisted I suppose), but that´s just my opinion. Also cool Freeze voice acting, great job.

This is such an interesting story and I like the unique take. I do think he should be one of the first super-powered villains he fights (like Ivy and Clayface), but not first actual super villain. The whole team thing is alright, I’m back and forth if I really like it or not; especially before Dick Grayson. It also takes away from the Freeze stuff. I would love to see more takes on lower level villains like Firefly or Blizzard from Marvel.

I think there's some crackling in your mic in the beginning of the video (like around 1:40 - 2:00 and 6:44). Also I pronounce it "Freeze" because of BTAS. lol As for my favorite Mr. Freeze, I'd say BTAS, but I also like how the Arkham series ended his character. (Not that Freeze's fate in Batman Beyond wasn't wonderfully tragic.)

I missed this story. I'm kind of taking a back by the outwardly emotional and unhinged Mr. freeze. Like we all know that he is unhinged but it's very cold and calculated at least on the surface. So to see him just on full ichi the killer mode is a little disturbing.

heeeeeyyyyyy, it's smmmmmmmokey time edit: ok i'm 10 minutes each and your commentary got my laughing so hard that I can't stop imagining a retelling of all batman on one page as Bruce tells it, but there's Alfred, fucking spilling the beans "he pissed his pants that night y'know?" style. that would be the funniest shit in the worrrrrrrld
