What's missing is an owner that doesn't allow his ego to get in the way of an established culture of professionalism and excellence. Something they haven't had in 30 years.

The worst part about being a Dallas cowboy fan if you’re a normal human as you get lumped in with all the psychotic less than human cowboy fans that troll the media, I wouldn’t want to be a cowboy fan either just because of their fans, their fans are disgusting, immature, and delusional And I’ve got millions of KZread video proof of that. The only team fans that come close to that is LA dodger fans, but I wouldn’t want to be root for either team just because of the established fan base are unbearable, that normal fans get lumped in with them. What’s missing is a competent GM! A true GM would’ve known we needed help at linebacker and defense last year! Instead he allowed them to limp onto the field against a younger faster Green Bay team! Dak threw 2 picks but that wasn’t what killed us! It was the 50 points that defense allowed!

They are missing Patrick Mahomes.

Coaches that know how to adjust IN GAME to what the other team is doing. That’s number one. Mike McCarthy started to get things going as the season progressed last year using motion as apart of their offensive scheme but wasn’t able to fully adapt it into their playbook. Dan helped McCarthy to a degree with understanding how to help the offensive side of the ball recognize how to use it to beat defenses. However, Dan wasn’t a master of stopping it himself. That is what Zimmer brings to the table. To help Mike, dak, and the offense recognize how to beat defenses in a different way- while also- on the other side- be able to stop those types of mobile offenses and motion- type offenses aka- shanahan offenses and his tree ( Kyle shanahan, mcshay, mcdaniels, kingsberry). As far as talent goes, they need to be healthy. Last year they had safeties playing linebacker. And offenses knew how to run the ball against our defense when we had 205lbs safeties trying to stop the run lmao. The rest is performance from the players. But again, it’s coaching and IN-GAME play calling and adjustments. Every one of Dallas’s losses last year they lost the same way. And against Green Bay- all those same deficiencies showed up in one day and it was a complete disaster and the coaches were not able to put the players in the best position.

Not even close….our run defense was awful last year, and one of the most important statistics in the post season. An effective running game and run defense is tried and true. Outside of Zeke’s 125 yard effort against Green Bay in 2016 they’ve averaged about 52 yards on the ground in the other 4 losses. That isn’t going to get it done. Not just Dak’s fault.

Dak isn’t good enough to come out of the NFC. Second let’s say they get to a superbowl. They can’t beat the top 4 teams in the AFC, so no go.

Defense? No mention tho!

Jerry Jones said it when he let Jimmy go. He said any 500 coaches can win with this team. He truly believes that all it takes is talent to win. That is why they lose, not only in the playoffs but in the regular season when they play teams equally as talented. They get out schemed, out coached by better organizations. The coaches can only do so much under JJ as well. I love my Cowboys but I am embarrassed of the JJ circus.

A great run game!

I don't know who you blame, but in that wild card Green Bay game, the Cowboys were flat. No energy, no urgency, no hustle. They started out down 7, and were down 27-0 before they started playing like something resembling an NFL team. The defense simply could not defend anything. They acted like they expected GB to just roll over and lose. Dak is not why Green Bay scored whenever they wanted.

Herm : “Just go draft a QB” Yeah, every team in the NFL would love it to be that easy. It’s one thing to draft any qb. It’s a whole other thing to draft a good one. Also if this is Dak’s last year, Dallas prolly will be picking in the mid - late teens of the first round. They most likely won’t be able to draft one high enough unless they move assets to get in the top 5. I have my doubts Dallas would be willing to do that.

People want to say “oh Daks only won two playoff games. There’s no way he’s ever making an NFC title game.” You wanna know who else has only won two playoff games in their career? Everyone’s little MVP Lamar Jackson.

Exactly you cant find anyone better than Dak besides like mahomes or someone that's locked in on another team. Dak is a all pro qb who had a mvp caliber season and has had a top 3 offense every year. You get rid of Dak then you might win 5 games a season if your lucky. 12-5 three years in a row is hard to do and you wont find anyone else to do it
