Because its based on Redhat enterprise, which is a paid version of linux made for servers and workstations and offers very high security and stability. Moreover its has got SElinux which stands for security edition linux . Redhat throws new features to fedora, test and troubleshoot it, and then implement it in redhat enterprise. While you can say that centos is predecessor of redhat enterprise offering less features.

WHAT AN AWESOME BRIEF INTRO OF WINDOWS VS LINUX

0:32 Linux ek kernel hai it's not an operating system. Ubuntu is an operating system so as windows

I know my way around Linux.. That is not the issue. The BIG issue you don't really dive into is Support. I have hardware that I Love but is not supported in Linux. I have an amazing old laptop (acer 8951G) that heats up like a toaster when I load Manjaro or Mint on it. 20 minutes on and turns itself off. Only Windowz with drivers can keep it cool. My desktop BlasterX AE-5 sounds like an AM radio from the 30's. I read a post of some guy that was making the AE-5 driver saying (this was a few years back) he was working on the RGB stuff. Why?.. You need first to make the sound card work.. RGB is the last thing you should be concerned (this is from 2016)! Until vendors start supporting Linux, it will be impossible for people like me to switch. I love Manjaro (don't like what they did with FreeOffice) and have it as a side OS, in case my windowz fails somehow, but I can't switch.. at the moment. My laptop is old. it will never get support. My sound card is also old, and will never get proper support. I'm not "mainstream", I'm "best of the best" PC. I pay a LOT for my hardware. It will never get support from the Linux community. The manufacturers that make my amazing hardware do not care about Linux, doesn't matter how much I ask or how many emails I send :( So I have 2 choices: 1) Do I want to have an amazing computer running windowz, or 2) Do I want to have a middle range mediocre system running amazing Linux? I still go with first option. I really WISH it will change in the coming years :)

Firstly why do want linux? I switched to linux ubuntu because windows was being buggy and had way too many issues and after switching to linux I have basically none except for some apps and programs that are windows and Mac os x only. But even for those programs there are good alternatives and 70 to 80% of the average day to day softwares are all available for linux and the app count is growing. So firstly decide what task do you want to do. If you want gaming then go for ubuntu as steam community officially supports ubuntu and quite a few titles like cs go rocket league and other such titles are available for linux out of box meaning these game have a linux version available or else for other games which are windows only you can use wine as a compatibility layer to play most of windows only softwares on linux. Otherwise if you want an elegant looking os use elementary os or for a more windows like experience use linux mint based on ubuntu. Also ubuntu and other debian based linux distros(OS) are extremely stable and are very reliable for trouble free experience without much virus attacks or security threats( but they can happen no os is immune to security bugs or viruses but the likelihood of that happening in linux decreases significantly as compared to windows). You can also use Manjaro which makes it easy for installation of drivers needed for gaming and the gnome desktop environment present in ubuntu too is a very functional yet simple to learn desktop interface and with any linux distro you can change the desktop environment to whatever pleases you like installing launchers on android.

Can u please help me, I have USB hard disk of 2Tb it was working very fine but the day I used with samsung smart tv which showed all the folder it's still running, but now I am facing when the same USB hard disk use it against laptop it does not show anything only drive show it says Access denied and show as 0 bytes, but when I use it against samsung tv USB it shows all the folders and files. Linux is freedom Windows is slavery Linux gives you almost unlimited options to customize while windows give you peanuts. I'm not techie yet used Ubuntu for ~ 5 years, switched to Linux Mint 6 months ago. I can run commands from terminal easily & get support from community. I grappled with finding drivers, apps like djvu readers in Windows which are really available in Linux. Most importantly, MS has absolute control over your machine, don't own responsibility for attacks on your machine due to faults in their OS while Linux is highly difficult to break. Your data is yours in Linux while MS owns you, your data & you're at their mercy.

Guy, it has a lot of restrictions. Maybe it could be less than mac but the point is, it has a lot of restrictions. But on the other hand when you go to use Linux. There are no restrictions and is a highly secured operating system as compared to windows. On using Linux, you will realize the power of a user. You can do anything, anything if you have mind and skills.
