@@DJSlaughter hello Mr. Slaughter. I took a drive through the area yesterday and was pleasantly surprised! It wasn't at all what I was expecting. I did notice very limited cellphone service in most areas that I drove through. The GPS on my phone dropped my location several times. I wonder, is there a workaround that residents use for this issue?
I live here and my dad works at the mall
I live here but it is not so small anymore, which makes me sad.
This is a great video. When researching this area, read that the black population is zero, so it is both refreshing and interesting to see an African American speaking about this town. With that being said, can you please provide some insight about living in this area as a POC?

Hi Tara, thanks for your question! Dawsonville is actually starting to become more diverse which is awesome. I have had no issues living in Dawsonville. This is definitely home!

could i rent a home for under 600.00 per month or a 2 bedroom apartment in dawson ? i now live in merrill,wis plan to move there in april

It's pretty much impossible to find a place for $600 a month out here. I'll see what I can find though. But for the most part you're looking at at least paying $1,000 a month for most places out here

@@DJSlaughter Someone online today told me to look into Dawsonville to relocate away from Florida's hurricanes, etc. & for a nice small mountainous town. They said rent is not too bad there especially in comparison to Florida's east coast. But, it sounds like rent is high. Why is it so expensive to rent there? Do u handle rental properties too? Where else do u recommend I look for information about that area?
