What is included on Riviera Travel river cruises?
We took a Rhine river cruise on MS George Eliot and wanted to share everything included on a Riviera Travel cruise.
Riviera Travel has been offering European river cruises for 40 years. There are lots of things included on Riviera Travel river cruises such as:
1. Flights, luggage and transfers
2. Alternative no-fly option with Eurostar
3. Full board (breakfast, lunch and dinner included)
4. Unlimited tea, coffee and hot chocolate
5. Wi-Fi is included
6. Travel water bottle
7. An excursion in every port with a local tour guide is included with Riviera Travel
8. Entertainment on Riviera Travel ships, including local performers
9. Local taxes and port charges are included in the cruise fare
10. Canapés and drinks receptions
11. Use of facilities on the river ship: pool, library, putting green

The whole river cruise experience has a more all-inclusive feel so once the cruise is paid, there’s very little more than needs to be done.
Of the three river cruises we've taken so far, this was the first one where the drinks with meals was not included BUT for 2024 European river cruises, Riviera Travel is offering all passengers the Superior Drinks Package, which includes beer, wine and soft drinks with lunch and dinner PLUS drinks from the bar from 6pm onwards every night.

Just returned from a Rhone Crusie with Riviera, everything was very good indeed, however our food selection and quality was nothing like that shown in the Video, it was more canteen style, having said that we have re-booked for next year on the new Riviera Rose.

I’m sorry to hear the food wasn’t as good. Funnily enough we’ve booked Riviera Rose next year too. Looks like a stunning ship and hoping the food will be equally wonderful. We can’t wait to cruise on the Douro.
Excellent presentation Laura. I know my hubby likes the idea of trying a river cruise and I'd be up for it too. I always felt that they are very expensive and rarely have cheap deals available, maybe due to the smaller capacity. Never mind not so many include travel from Ireland.

Riviera does offer flights from Belfast International for certain itineraries, I’ve just checked for you 😉 also Dublin but I’m guessing that’s miles away for you.

@@janepedlar3870 thank you 🙏🏼 the ship was very nice. In the evenings we could just wear smart casual, much more relaxed than traditional ocean cruising. We really liked how it wasn’t too formal, even on the Captain’s Dinner evening.
