@@baseddepartment1645 yeah John is not as strong as he once was and the only way for you to say “Devon wins comfortably” is with a time machine or if you pulled them both yourself, 20 years apart. Which would still be anecdotal evidence and not entirely trustworthy.

Please tell John to focus on his health more than the sport right now. We need him to be healthy and around us. I don't care if Johns is not able to kick butts. I care that I can hear him share his thoughts and experiences for as long as possible.

John needs to be a celebrity arm wrestler. Someone like Parvin Debas Sir needs to manage John as an international PPL ambassador. Fly him first class to events; pull with the best Indian super heavy weights; pull with celebrities like Hrithik Roshan, SRK, Salman Khan, Bahubali; and from Hollywood, pull hulks like Dwayne Johnson, Stalone, Arnold etc, rpull Joe Rogan, Logan Paul, pull MMA stars like Jon Jones, Stippe, Connor Mcgreggor, Ngannou, boxers like Anthony Joshua, Tyson Fury etc. There should be a celebrity match at the beginning of every armwrestling event. Pay John $10,000 for every event (plus airfare and hotel).

Well I'm sure Brzenk wouldn't want matches that are basically giving him a win. Brzenk likes going after the best. Brzenk might feel disrespected if they started giving him pitty matches to where they know he will win. I do hate seeing the goat lose like I really hate it lol. I would like to see Brzenk go for the 50/50 matches or maybe even 65/35 in John's favor. But I wouldn't wanna see Brzenk being handed sure wins. Wished they had a promotion or even just a category for the older arm wrestlers to compete with each other. Father time waits on nobody unfortunately :/

I'm just recovering from Covid and have been sick for 12 days.

John definitely has some unresolved respiratory issues going on, he needs to have a complete checkup/scan done, and i never ever want to see him cut weight for a match so drastically again, i wanna see him have matches at his healthy weight that he enjoys walking around at even if its against much lighter opponents, Engin should take note and KOTT, he doesn't need the title belts if he wins, he's above that as long as he's competing at that healthy weight

Thats why he's GOAT. Always dominating up in weight, not solely his own class. Overall dominance for over 25 years cant be touched today. I really hope he gets better!

Give him in a break he’s 60 years old and still doing it he doesn’t owe anybody anything John has never wanted to go for easy matches that’s not who he is you’re missing that point he doesn’t care if he loses his fans do it’s just nice to see him still competing, back in the mid 2000s he used to just literally walk people down to the pad like it was nothing I mean I don’t think people from this era truly understand how good John was and still is he’s still incredible, I just really hope that his health comes back to him and he feels good !

The truth is John even at 59 and sick is top 5 in 95kg or 105kg. His results show that. He beat Zoloev, Zurab, Petrenko, and Paul Linn. He did everything but beat Irakli. He pinned and gave a tough match to Ongarbaev. He really only lost to Hutchings and Sasho whom everyone is probably losing to at those weights. There is no reason why he shouldn't continue to compete at the highest levels of those categories. Sure throw in a few exciting non weight category matches as well.

I do not think John will accept ez matches as a general rule for the rest of his armwrestling life, maybe 1 or 2 easier matches as part of recovery, but after that I am sure he will look for a challenge - real challenge.

I disagree, Pradeep. I would rather see John lose to the top elites than beat up on the next tier down. I think if it was too easy at this point, he wouldn't have any drive to continue. The fact that he felt something in that Ongarbaev match that he believes he can take advantage of keeps the fire going. Even if he is wrong, I want to see him striving to be at the top.

I was 34 or so, vaccined and everything, got covid, not really bad those days, but had long covid for about a year, Could hardly walk without being winded... And Breznk is 59!

I think you are wrong about this. I think we should just let John pull who he wants to. I don't really care if he loses or not. I think it is much more interesting to watch him try and pull elite pullers if he still wants to. If I were John I would still like to see how I match with tough competition. I think it is more exciting to see him challenged(win or lose). I don't believe his "legacy" is in question just because he takes some loses against the best pullers out there right now. he is almost 60. If you enjoy competing and like the challenge and excitement around that then why schedule less than competitive matches for easy wins. I honestly think John probably gets more out of the whole thing if he challenges himself fully(win or lose). I think he would regret not pulling any of the matches he has lost. that is the whole point of competing. there is ultimately only one way to find out. just my opinion.
