We are already in a big crash Inflation is a catastrophe. This CPI report is a colossal failure. To bring the housing market to a halt, the FED will have to pull all the stops. The unfortunate issue is that other markets are being decimated. If you want to stay green, you have to rely on a lot of diversification. Currently up 14% and being careful. Still a better deal than leaving it in a savings or checking account yielding 0-1 percent interest.

I understand that tomorrow isn't promised to anyone, but investing today is hard for me now because I have no idea of how and where to invest in. I would be happy if you could advise me based on how you went about yours, as I am ready to go the passive income path.?

@@raychristopher7797 I invest across the top markets but not by myself though. I follow the guidelines of *PRISCILLA DIANE AIVAZIAN* . you might have heard of her. I can correctly say she's worth her salt as an investment advisor as her diversification skills is top-notch, I say this because I see that in her results as my portfolio grows by averages of 20 to 3O% every month, unlike I can say for my IRA which has just been trudging along. my portfolio just mirrors what she places and not just on some particular industries of my choosing. she gave me that financial freedom I needed

What a fantastic and brilliant conversation! It was a true treat and privilege to be able to watch two thoughtful and wise-beyond-your-years people have a great philosophical conversation about how to live a good (optimized) life. Even though I’m at least 15 years older than either of you, I learned much from you. Thank you so much!

My financial life got better when my emotional life got better. I'd force myself to make good financial decisions then sabotage them later. When I learned that my spending was based on a need for for emotional reward it fell into place. My season started when my emotional spending was exposed and realized.

Happened to be listening to some Neil Young earlier before watching this, and serendipitously the lyrics here remind me of something you talked about from childhood: There is a town in north Ontario, With dream comfort memory to spare, And in my mind I still need a place to go, All my changes were there.

Pete says the things we all know long time already, but what makes him unique is the fact that he is clear in his vision and he does the things that bring him closer to "ideal" life, without getting selfish, reverted to himself only or lazy. Thank you for this nice, inspiring interview.

He cleared up some of the fears I have when I FIRE in the near future. Healthcare is another one but I think I definitely need to chill out on the penny pinching when in the end the extra $10 here or there isn't going to change my numbers. I actually think I've over engineered my early retirement. I'm done with the whole "one more year" game. Great interview. I gotta get up to Longmont and check this scene out.

By far thee fastest way to FIRE is to dropout of school as early as possible !!!!! Maybe round the 7th grade !!!!! I waited far too long to dropout and left high school at 15 and I retired art 39. If I dropped out of school at 12 years old I would have surely retired at 34.

She sounds a little bit like a fixed mindset gal. Skills can grow. No-one is gifted with anything particular. Its what you stick with that grows in skill. Whats important is becoming something. To become FI you need to become skilled in investing, saving and living more frugally than most people. Great interview otherwise.
