Glad that video was useful to you. As the same say it is exploratory, the meaning or explore in English is trying to know. So in a similar way exploratory testing is something which you don't know but you are trying to know how exactly your software works. Hope it helps.

In exploratory tester doesn't know application functionality....whereas in ad- hoc tester should know application functionality by his previous experience....both r random testing only
