In this lecture from our course, 'A Practical Guide to Emotional Intelligence in the Workplace', we look at what emotional intelligence is, and who some of the key figures are.
This course shows you how to get better results in the workplace through better communications. What is emotional intelligence? Simply put, it is the ability to identify your own emotions, and the emotions of others, and to use this knowledge to guide behavior. It is a key attribute of competent leaders and managers. Rather than getting bogged down in theory, we use real world examples to illustrate what emotional intelligence is, why it is important to develop and use it in the workplace. There are useful quizzes and downloads for both yourself, and ones you can use with your team in the workplace. There are one hour of videos broken into 25 lectures.
If you want to be a more effective workplace leader and manager, this course will help you develop and use your emotional intelligence for better workplace outcomes.

I like to think that each quotient needs to surpass the requirement to be a good leader and that's the end of it. Generally the more the merrier

"Someone prefers to focus on positive thinking to counteract the negative, but algebra teaches us that by multiplying two numbers of opposite sign we always get a negative product, whereas emotions are like a mirror so that if the thought is positive, they reflect positivity. if it is negative (less for less it is more) they can transform the attitude of the person in a positive way" (Antonio Cisternino in the interview on Radio Cusano Campus).
